Lets see some stag

Post by muskrat man »

Stag is one of my favorite handle materials, I thought it would be fun to show some of our stag. to see the wide variety of texture and types of hafting. I'll lead off with a hoffritz half whittler.

Very Nice M-M! ::tu:: ::tu::
I'll play, as I love stag and collecting stag handled knives. Here is one constructed by Wendell Carson... a 4 1/4" stock pattern, Queen components, including 0-1 tool steel blades, and some gnarly stag handles.

Bill

P. S.
BOTH sides as well... :mrgreen:

glad you like it blues.

To keep the thread going, here is one of my most recent purchases. A Buck custom Geronimo commemorative. I love this knife, the glass in the display case was broken, got some measurements and am having a piece cut for it this weekend.

Stag

Post by Mossdancer »

MM:
Here is one for your purview. A Folding Bowie. As you can see the front side needs help,
You have any idea where a hunk of stag to match up with the back could be found. The mechanism also needs a or some parts fabricated. Let me know and maybe I can toss some business your way in the future. I believe its pre 91 English??? Maybe German!
