Chris, good price for one in that condition (good - very good if the pictures can be believed).

Just bought myself a new showcase for 30€ (about 33$) shipped. ::groove:: I wrote to the seller & she said the glass is just dusty.
It's approximately 14" wide, 18 1/2" high (22" with the wooden crest piece on top) and 3 3/4" deep. ::tu::
The price was more than fair for my neck of the woods and with it's 5 shelves, I'll have plenty of room for the rest of my knives and then some. ::tu::

Thanks for looking! ::handshake:: :D

Edit: Hope it's ok when I post this here. ::shrug:: :mrgreen:

Tom, you'll have it filled in no time and need another - leave room on the wall! That is a nice display cabinet. OH

Even though it was labeled "On Back Order", I ordered one from Shepherd Hills on Jan. 27th. Still a no show so I checked SMKW and found one and ordered from them. Canceled the order with Shepherd Hills. It is currently wending it's way through The Great Midwest towards it's destination (me). Tracking says delivery on Thursday but there's a chance it will be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Stock picture of course.

Folks ordered their plants and seeds from Burpee due to the whole Coronavirus lockdown thing.

I ordered this knife.

Dewit Garden Knife; 4" boron steel blade, made in the Netherlands.
prod500316.jpg

A little confused here. This is the Dewit USA page; showing a knife with an extended, round tang, like basically any garden implement, like weeders. I personally like the style Burpee shows, but not this other design. Not sure which is correct--should've asked.

At $26, it's not a whole lot, but I'm hoping it's the proper thing. In restrospect, I should've just went with a Dexter-Russell shoe knife. Same profile, tough carbon steel as well, and about half the price.

Speaking of that, I ended up buying this on the D/R site for the heavier cutting I do in the garden. May end up using it instead.

Dexter Russell Sani-Safe 3.5" Utility/Net Knife with sheath. Made in USA and $22. Thinking this will see a LOT of use.

Wow :shock: nice selection Jerry! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu:: :D

Made an offer on a small Schrade just before I went to bed & woke up with a new knife. ::super_happy:: This will be my first Schrade other than my Shapleigh D E. ::groove:: The seller's pictures are not that good and looking at his other knives I believe it's in better condition than the pictures may depict. We shall soon see. :D

Thanks for looking! ::handshake::

Nice stuff! Pearl lobsters always get my attention.

I'm Canadian so I often use a parcel-forwarder when sellers won't ship outside the US. The pile got big enough and now I have a real nice box-full of incoming knives and ephemera. I have been waiting for my "Fortune knife" since last December. Box was just let out of customs. I should get it Monday. Obviously, I can't wait. Patience is a virtue as-they-say.

Last night I bought this unbranded, "camping" style, "deer head", multi-blade/tool pocket knife. It will make a welcomed addition to the zoo. There's nothing special about it. The looks and the price said "buy me", so I did. When I receive it, it'll get the once over. It looks to be in fantastic condition. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).
