bighomer says these China made Mables knives are really good knives so I finally found one I wanted to add to my EDC's. Actually I found a few that I liked. The other two were Stockman knives. I already have a number of good Stockman EDC's so I decided to get this Rams Horn Canoe with pinched bolsters. My other two Canoe's are from Case & are showcase knives. Looking forward to checking out this Marbles Canoe! One thing I'm not crazy about but can live with is the fancy nail nicks. I prefer either the "Plain Jane" nail nicks or long pulls. And my favorit type is the "Long Pull Match Strike" type.

Saw this Rough Ryder Barlow with the Denim Micarta handle and decided to order the series from SMKW.
Should be here by the middle of next week. That used up my knife budget for this month.

I'm afraid I got just a tiny bit carried away the last couple of days. The silver one in the clam-pak is #438 (gross exaggeration to make a point) but I just can't seem to resist them when they're listed at fire sale prices. I won the auction for the black 422 by the hair on my chinny, chin, chin. The RR was bought for the shield & the main blade & the handles.

Why do I feel like I have to justify my purchases?

All great knives there Jerry. But that Pipe Doctor though......love the looks of that one. As Marcel Ledbetter would say, you about to fling a cravin' on me!!

Now this isnt my usual type of knife but the peach seed covers suck me in. I put a low bid in and actually won it.

I don't blame you David. Gotta love the old peach seed jig. Beautiful find.

I believe you will like it. Marbles and Rough Ryder have really upped their game on quality compared to a few years ago.

Go for it. There are plenty of them out there at what I consider a decent price. If I had my druthers, I'd druther it had a pen blade instead of that pipe stem poker, but as my mother would say, "wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which one gets full the quickest"

I'd prefer the camp machete actually.....the poll on the axe is too wimpy, you need something that seperates the wood!!
