Hope it cleans up pretty well. As a user, I like it quite a bit--small penknife, coupled with some of the best scissors ever made is perfect.Meridian_Mike wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 8:22 pm I just found myself an affordable Schrade USA 106OT...

I need to get a boxed example--but a decent used one at a price I could afford was hard enough...

Thank you Doglegg & QS . Roland certainly knows how to pick great knives, I don't even have to see it in the flesh to know it's a great knife .

Re: It's In The Mail
Well, not until tomorrow. I just bought it 15 minutes ago. Had my eye on these for quite some time and I was able to purchase this one at auction for what I thought was a good price. I just hope the mark side handle is as good as the picture. I've noticed that all of these are not created equal.

I should be getting these two beauties sometime soon. When I do, I'll give them both the once over, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Gorgeous bone on those examples.
Fiskars Excalibur scissors multitool. It is based on the Gerber Multiplier design, but instead of pliers, it has scissors, and the blade, Swiss Army-type pliers, saw, and file are all located on the outside of the tool. This was supposed to be here Monday, from Arizona. Somehow ended up in Rhode Island, where it departed the facility there Sunday night, and nothing since has happened. I'm beginning to suspect it got lost in the mail or stolen. At least if it does get lost in the mail, I'm only out ten bucks.

Re: It's In The Mail
Skip, great pick up on the two jacks. I think I like the top best until I look at the 2nd one. Both very sweet old knives.
Cool multitool Cody. I've seen others with the scissors. Cool pick up.
I've got a knife coming that has taken a free tour as well. Four day ago it was in a distribution center about 15 miles from me. Four days later it is back in the same distribution center. As long as they don't charge for mileage I'm ok. Not a good time of the year to work for the postal system.

Re: It's In The Mail
Tonight I purchased this pocket knife. Another Camillus 72 variation, a FORGED USA pocket knife. FORGED USA was one of the Sears Roebuck & Company's trademark names and was made for them by the Camillus Cutlery Company. When I receive it, I will give it the once over, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s). Here's what it looks like now.

Re: It's In The Mail
Well it's not really in the mail yet and probably won't be until Thursday. I just won the auction about 45 minutes ago (by the skin of my teeth). I didn't have a three blade Case Mini-Trapper so ~Q~'s monkey insisted that I really "needed" one. If I ever get to Hawaii again, I'm going to grab that dadgummed monkey by the neck and donate him (or her) to a zoo in Australia.

Re: It's In The Mail
It's true. Had I bid 10¢ less I wouldn't have gotten it. I was really on the fence about bidding on it but in the end, a month from now it won't mean a thing.

Pretty sweet blade Jerry.
Re: It's In The Mail
I did something I never do, I bought myself a NEW knife. Back in 2014 I wanted a CASE chestnut bone sowbelly CV so bad I could taste it. I almost bought one, but didn’t since it was close to Christmas and I just knew I’d get it for Christmas, but I didn’t. Later I tried to find one and they were non existent. So this year CASE came out with a CV sowbelly in red and black carbon fiber scales. It ain’t chestnut bone, but it’ll do. After 5 years of wanting I wasn’t gonna let it slip away. It’s on its way from Deadwood knives as we speak.
Still wish I could find that chestnut bone one though!

I just purchased this Geo. Schrade, wire jack, pocket knife. "BRIDGEPORT" on the tang stamp is spelled out. It appears that it may need a little cleaning. When I receive it, it'll get the once over. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Re: It's In The Mail
The seller accepted my best offer and I just obtained this pocket knife. A Camillus 72 (Yello-Jaket), yellow handles, 3 blades, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. When it arrives, it will receive a gentle cleaning if needed, but it looks like it's in pretty decent shape. I'll take pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).
