Thank you, Floyd! As far as I know, this knife model is for finishing deers. It is manufactured by many German companies.

I purchased this knife a few minutes ago.
A Camillus 72, 3 blade (ducks etched on main blade), swelled center, black bone handles, "whittler" pocket knife.
I now have two thirds of the Camillus 72, "black bone handles" trio.
It appears to be in terrific shape and won't need any cleaning at all.
When I receive it, pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).

I have heard them referred to as Jager Messer. And also as Knicker Messer (meant to be carried in the top of ones hunting socks).

I saw that very knife cruising the 'bay yesterday ...
passed it up because of the missing shield.

I've gotten excessively picky about purchasing off ebay.
In fact, I only bought three (3) knives from there in all of 2019!

I just bought another Imperial "deer head" pocket knife for the zoo. It will definitely require some cleaning. When it arrives, it will receive a cleaning, pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).

I just bought this one. I made an offer & he agreed. 4€ shipped ::shrug:: I figure the slip is worth 2 so the knife only cost 2. If the knife is junk, I'll use the slip for a better knife. ::tu:: :D

No I don't kj. Those are the only pics I have. It may be unstamped as well. Why? ::shrug::

I have a Hen & Rooster on my watch list but I'm not really sure if I want it or not. It has a lot of scratches. Should I try for it? ::shrug::
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Altes-Messer-f% ... 1438.l2649

And also this KC/Klaas. ::shrug:: https://www.ebay.de/itm/Vintage-Robi-Kl ... 1438.l2649

Or a Böker. ::shrug:: https://www.ebay.de/itm/B%C3%B6ker-Tasc ... 1438.l2649

Anybody looking for a SS Pen from a specific brand? ::shrug:: They show up a lot on the bay here and normally aren't that expensive. Usually like between 5 & 25€ shipped. I could keep my eyes open for you. And If I found one you liked, we could work out a trade. Just an offer. ::tu::

Tom, I like pen knives including those with metal handles but very few people here in North America collect these so prices are low for nearly all brands.
C. Bertram Hen & Rooster & Henckels are brands that do sell a little higher. I am selling off my knives so send me a PM if you would like to see a few very nice examples. Is there any 'issue' with mailing small knives to Germany ?

I'd be interested in adding to those made in Solingen. Pretty much all of my ad knives are American and Swiss; with a couple being Sheffield.

And not penknives, but I'm wanting to start adding to my collection of advertising Mercator/K55K folders.

Nope! No issues with pocket knives as long as the stated value is low. If they are expensive, customs might charge me something. :D

I just obtained this knife for best offer. Another Allen Cutlery Company, Newburgh, N.Y., pocket knife (1917-1925).
It will receive a cleaning when it arrives. Pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).

Got this little guy coming direct from Bear and Sons. 2020 seems to be one of their more interesting years; with quite a few neat USA made "World Legal" designs. After getting burned multiple times ordering Bear and Son products from Amazon that turned out to be factory rejects and returns'; I figure I'm safer buying direct. Trying to support American cutlery companies as best as I can; especially after Queen went belly up.

Bear and Sons Aluminum Slipjoint. 2 1/2" closed, 1.5" blade, 1 oz. $25 shipped and made here in the USA!
