As long as the 34OT has been around and as MANY as you see on the bay.....
I finally found a Schrade-Walden 34OT...
It's not the best but it will do for now.

.
I will soon have the original 5 Schrade Walden stamped (folding) Old Timers in my nasty little hands (and in my collection)....
The 8OT, the 25OT, the 34OT, the 108OT and the 125OT....
Yay....

Have you considered Victorinox? They have some girly handles in the Classic SD line. They'll even put the individual's name on the knife.

I have, but I don't think it would work. They have all seen my display cases and all the ones "hidden" in my big jewelers cabinet and they have their hopes up for a nice Case Barlow or a Buck Stockman. We may have to negotiate about that.

Well sugar. Fooling kids gets harder all the time. I just figured the Victorinox would be more "girly" but apparently "girly" isn't what they're looking forward to.

I can't say I've ever seen a Schrade Walden 34OT, despite the 34OT being Schrade's best seller for many years. I have one from the '70s-early 80s (first knife I ever had) with the SCHRADE NEW YORK USA tang stamp, then another from the late '80s. They are cheap, and kinda hard to resist, but so far, I have. I don't see why not, given I already have more Camillus Electricians than I can shake a stick at.

There is at least 3 different production tang stamps on the 34OT.... (NOT counting the chinese stamps)
The one above plus....

SCHRADE
NY USA
34OT

and

SCHRADE
USA 34OT

Hunting down tang stamps is like unto opening a can of worms......

Well, I hope I didn't make anyone HERE mad BUT.... I got me a new (OLD) Old Timer over the weekend.
This one needs some help but I think it will dress up nicely. The main blade shows some use but not just a whole bunch. The mark side cover is badly busted up.....It looks solid and NOT very abused.
Here it is.... On the way ....

The 2OT I snatched out from under somebody.....

Excellent score! I think that might be among the best for 2020. As I understand, 2OTs are rarer than hen's teeth.

I wonder, what are you rehandling it with? Keep it close to original, or something fancy?

Definitely my best score for the year! (AND a few past years too)
My plan is to replace the busted cover on the mark side and do a little clean-up.
I want to keep it as original as possible.

And this one comes with a box..... Don't know if it is THE box, but it could be maybe....

My OT collection has a couple of nice additions now!

Tonight I bought this Camillus 40 box. It appears to be in pretty good condition. I'll post some pictures, in the appropriate location(s), when I receive it.

I've been wanting a vintage fixed blade for some while now.

I have that sheath, but not that knife. I don't know if my great-uncle lost it, or it went to someone else, and I ended up inheriting the leftovers everyone else in the family didn't want.

My Granddad gave me the smaller Edge Brand 460 (3 3/4 skinner blade). It holds an edge really well. I need to adjust the guard though--it doesn't fit my meaty fingers.

Very interesting. Long line, bone handled (you don't see that very often) and no pattern number stamped on the pile side tang or anywhere else. ::hmm:: Looks to be in reasonably good condition for it's age.

It also lacks a shield. I've seen many synthetic and a few bone handled 67 patterns that were not stamped with a number, do you know why they did that?

I am hoping it'll be good. I can't tell if it has the shorty clip blade or regular.
