Congrats Bomba, yeah that 14 autumn gold is a looker. My fav of your haul. Hope you didn't put yourself in the doghouse on that one. Nice.
J1890 that is some fine bone. Love the camel bone. In any color too. Good ones all.
I have no idea, it may be metal with a celluloid wrap as many of the shell handle Imperials were, I just think they are pretty. ::handshake::
No doubt, definitely a looker, and you put the perfect backdrop in there to go with it. Nice shot. Let me know what that is when it comes. Congrats.
That the sellers photo, our own rexstubbins, footsix on ebay. ::handshake::

WC that is a very good looking S&M. If everything is tight on her you got yourself a winner at a very nice price IMO. ::tu::

Glad you got one, do you recall what thread I posted the link in? I can't even find it. Thanks. Great you nabbed one. Rare. Proabably goe up in value even if you use it. Right on.

On another forum, a few of us got into a group buy for Victorinox Outrider with Bosch branding; since the seller with them on German eBay would only ship within the EU. I'm assuming these were a part of a promotion of some sort at one point, and were being cleared out. I got a pretty good deal. Counting the cost of the knife (21EUR; or about $23), shipping from Germany (about $8), and Paypal fees (11%); it came to just over $34. Outriders are normally about $60. Even with all that, I still saved about $20 from the cheapest Outrider currently available for sale in the US.

Haven't bought a knife (new or used) in a few months. I like my 1978 vintage Case 6332 EDC so much that I bought a "back-up" 1980 Case 63032 from Kennedy Knives AAPK store this morning. Old Speedy Kennedy already has it in the mail! Any of you folks ever bought a "back-up" knife?? OH

Thanks gents. I suspected that I wasn’t the only accumulator of “backups” at AAPK! OH

Lol. On some patterns I really like, I have bought backups for my backups. I’m a sick man though.

For typically inexpensive patterns, yes. I have two of the 34OT (my first knife; the second is backup) and the 27 (lots always have them, and it's my favorite work knife; I have 3 27s and about a half-dozen TL-29 types; including two actual TL-29s), and I always buy two or three of the same Morakniv model when I get one (since a 511 is under $10). And quite often, when I see a good knife (usually Colonial or one of the Swiss brands; quite often with some kind of advertising on it) at a really cheap price in a rather large quantity; I will most often buy two or three of them at a time; one to use, one for my collection, and one as backup to the user. There's Camillus 27s (and simlar) scattered across my EDC rotation, toolboxes, tool bags, and I think there's one in a dresser drawer.
