bigbore, Glad you like the knives. I don't sell my knives. These are China made and the knives, while interesting, do not impress me with their quality.

Pair of GEC 35s and a pair that look to me like they are built on the same frame, but 60 yrs apart. Obviously not though. Popular pattern longevity.

This couple of Rough Riders I picked up are like mules in a Kentucky Derby thread. ::paranoid::

Would it make you feel better if I ran a team of mules out here to keep you company? The bigg'un just works that little one to death, trying to keep up.

Here are my Gerber twins, although not identical. I am the father, Pacific Bell was the mother.

Thank you. I guess I've been into knives all my life. Just not as a collector. I found this sight by accident. Started reading some of the posts and liked what I was reading. Going to the post office soon to pick up my first Case knife. I have two more on the way. This could very well be the start of a new compulsive disorder for me. I hope so.

Compulsion? Addiction? What ever you call it, it's almost as strong as drugs or alcohol for those who are in it's clutches. It will take your money and leave you smiling with no ill effects other than a thinner wallet and occasional regrets.

Just jump right in with both feet. You are very welcome here.

Oh my Tony. I'm all over those Rough Riders in Tobacco Bone. That's a great group. What's the pattern # on that Doubletake? The picture makes it look smaller than my 4" RR1108.

Just a couple more to go with the Doubletake Trapper. The Peanut is darker but still labeled as Tobacco Bone.
Rough Rider RR111 Peanut - Labeled.jpg
The Small Lady Leg is listed as Amber Bone but it looks like Tobacco Bone.

The rifle shield belonged to a friend of mine. He was only 52, and I struggled when officiating his funeral.
He outbid me at a live auction for this knife.
When going through his personal effects the family found it, and passed it on to me. It started my collection of stag Winchester knives.

I bought the bow tie from this forum’s store.

It's the R1110 double canoe. Closed length is the same as a normal RR canoe, definitely shorter than a full-sized trapper. The smooth tobacco bone is far and away my favorite RR handle material. I also have the sunfish that I picked up shortly after that group shot. I really should update the photo.
