I'm in the woods quite a bit but seldom have my camera with me. Yesterday our oldest daughter sent me a Oak handled Doctors knife and I had trouble finding a good contrasting background, so I set the little Case 7185 on the edge of the moss covered bird bath. Does that qualify as a knife in the wild? :)

I went off the trail today....almost got lost. It's not hard, especially when everything ahead looks exactly like everything behind...
I came back out about 40 yards from where I went in.

I haven't been off trail for quite a while but the thought occurs that doing some compass work might be a good endeavor for one of your missions.

Not really "in the wild" since it's right next to my driveway.
A Marble's Cattle Knife and a fungus that seemed to pop up overnight.

I had the opportunity to watch the Longhorn Cattle Drive last year in Ft. Worth. Those are some impressive horns!
