Knives in the Wild
Re: Knives in the Wild
Great looking pic John. Looks like it could be a jig saw puzzle when you start out looking for the straight pieces. Very cool.

No kidding......I am not familiar, but.....I am now and will do my research.treefarmer wrote:Scott, are you familiar with the vines in your pictures, the ones Floyd mentioned on the 1st post on this page? If not look up Smilax or green briar and you'll find they are edible in several stages of growth, roots, leaves and the fresher green tips of the vines.

Thanks you sir.
PS - Wish you would have "quoted" this so I would have seen it earlier, I don't normally scroll back through threads just for the hell of it.

Nice pics fellas, reminds me I need to get outdoors. Had the opportunity to go with my brother to his cabin this weekend where he typically finds 10-15 pounds of morels in couple days time. Sadly couldn't make the 4 hr drive due to babysitting two dogs while the wife is away a few days.

Thanks Scott, I'm glad I made the request. That is a cool walking stick. A place for your hand up top and enough 'decoration' left on the bottom to catch the eye. I like it. Thanks again.TripleF wrote:Well, here ya go pal.....I threw my walking stick on the ground so I could take a photo for you Floyd!doglegg wrote:Scott obviously that knife will cut. Knice shavings. jmh, I would say that picture is spore but that sounds uncomplimentary. Maybe I can say that pic is so good that there is no mushroom for improvement. I could say that it is the moss beautiful pic I have seen....but.... Maybe I will just say you did good and keep them coming.jmh58 wrote:DSC06137.JPG
