P.B. I have a couple of these "Ric-Nor"s like yours also in like new condition. I like the Boston,U.S.A stamping on it and I am a sucker for timers like the "Ric-Nor"s ::paranoid:: I like old knives made in the USA! ::tu::

Was about 60 years ago or so when I became fascinated with my Dad's Barlow knife/knives. He was a carpenter and favored Colonials because they were good but cheap. He felt the Case XX was probably the best but used them rough on the job and preferred the more economical brands.

So here is an accumulation of Colonials in the bottom row, and various at the top. Couple of Case '40-'64, couple of Imperial, American Knife Co (Japan) and a couple of Cargill side locks.

Love the group shot. That top one is gorgeous, and the fifth one down looks like the pin has been worked on. Love that. Keep 'em coming, love seeing all of them.

Love the yellow color on that one. How do you like it Garry? I’ve wondered about those many times, but never knew anyone that purchased one. How is the fit and finish?

Nice grouping of Barlows Jimmy. Lots of good users.

Mark, I like the War Eagle Barlow. It is a bit thinner than many Barlows making for an extra light carry. The fit is excellent: the single blade is
centered as it should be; the transitions at the bolster are smooth; the runup is barely visible. The finish is economical but looks good. The blade came very sharp and it is easy to maintain as much sharpness as desired. I think it is a fine value and makes for a very easy EDC.

It was no easy matter for Mr. Russell to begin sourcing some knives out of China. But it was either do that or eventually go out of business. I think that insisting upon and delivering quality China products was one more achievement in a remarkable life-time of achievements.

That is quite unusual. Some how the blade was disoriented when it was stamped. I like it!!

I picked this one up over the weekend at a little local roadside fleamarket near me. There"s usually not much there, but lucked up this weekend. It was a combo deal I did with a guy for it and one of those cheapie plastic hand lever vacuume brake bleeders. Figure I've got about $32 in the knife. It's a 2019 Case XX 2209-1/2 barlow. It has strong snap on both blades with some tiny scratches, but figured it would be a nice addition to my Barlow box.

Figured I would also show an updated group picture of my Barlow Box.
