Wife surprised me today

Post by NapalmSloth »

Next month, we will be married 8 years.
Yesterday, my wife asked me for some ideas for an anniversary gift. I sent her pictures of a few knives and a video game (Ace Combat 7.)
Later yesterday evening she said that she can’t wait for me to open her gift, and handed me two boxes.
The firs one was a Case Mini Trapper in White bone, inlaid cross, and inscribed with “In God We Trust.”
The second was a Doctors Knife in Ice Blue with an ichthus (Jesus Fish,) shield. I was floored.
I’ve been looking at the religious knives since my daughter gave me a Peanut with the verse from the Lords Prayer on it.
Needless to say, it was a very pleasant surprise.

Cheers!!!

What a wonderful gift! It sounds like she was truly excited for you to open it. Our wives/ S-O may not understand our hobby, but it's nice when they get involved in it in some way.

Very nice!
Now get her collecting and sign her up - I could use the company!

I don't think I could get her into collecting knives. I support her in the way she want to decorate the house. She has a great eye for visuals.
So, however she wants to decorate is perfectly fine with me. She does ask for my opinion, but knows I will go along with whatever she decides.

Cheers!!

Very true Bob.
Wife #1 wasn’t as supportive. Hence, the “#1.”

Wonderful gifts from an obviously wonderful wife - congratulations on both! OH
