That's great, Sir! Some of us old fellers really do understand your frustration with technology.

Sut - glad you're still around ... by chance do you have a smart phone ? You don't even need a computer or digital camera - its very easy to post pics to a thread using your phone camera and accessing AAPK on your phone. If you have an iphone, just PM me - I can get you up and running posting pics in a short phone call.
pffffft that's not a knife ......... now THAT'S a knife !! Crocodile Dundee

Re: Goodbye
Glad you've decided to "hang in there" Sut.
I know your frustration - I had to replace my old PC in December 2017, and get a new one. The new one has a totally different operating system (Windows 10) from the old one. It took me a couple of months to get used to it and configure it the way I wanted. I got a lot of practice using words that shouldn't be used!
But now that I pretty much have it figured out I suspect if I had to go back to the old one I would start all over again, having to re-learn it.

Sut: Not too long ago I was picking up my computer mouse and saying "Hello, is anyone there?" Into it!! LOL. Darned old technology!! Hang in there my friend.
Re: Goodbye
Well, that’s a relief! As a matter of fact, I just got some truly crappy news and you’d be surprised at how this good news has put the smile back on my face. People just disappear and won’t be back. You had the choice to stay and be a part of the community.
Awesome!

Hi, All;
Thanks all for your support
Iv'e let the dust settle a little more.
I've acquired a few more of my latest 'favorite knives', Cheetah, and Cheetah cubs, and paired a few, to make matched sets.
My son, gave me a lesson in using my smart phone to take pictures. That smart phone, is much smarter than I, and fights me every step of the way. If I keep at it, maybe I'll finally learn to take usable pictures with it.

Re: Goodbye
Hey, glad your back, I need the "senior citizen" company. My advise is to find some really young guy or gal and help you out. I have to call my son from time to time and he goes to "go to meeting".com and takes control of my computer from 275 miles away and always figures out what is going on. I'm getting so I don't even like to talk on the cell phone cause I can't hear very good anymore. So I would rather use the texting feature, I can still read OK, LOL. There are always other options, just have to have some patience and a little help. If you can't down load photo's , don't , no need to cause you additional stress. We still like to read your posts. Hi, All;
I haven't posted in a while, as i've aggravated an old, broken wrist injury, that's eliminated most of the use of my left arm. In trying to type one handed, I completely lost a large file, of lifelong things remembered. Composing that file, took me more than five years, to accumulate, and record. Now that I no longer have those precious memories to refer to, open up, saver, and enjoy, there is less, and less need to have this hateful computer tied around my neck, banging my head, like a 200# millstone. This, plus the fact that almost 100% of the knife sellers on the internet exclusively, use the 'Cheapest' shipping service available, the USPS. Since the USPS ether 'looses', or damages, almost everything that they are commissioned to deliver to me, i'v almost decided to quit collecting knives. That being said, this fact remains, Just talking about the things that we enjoy in our everyday life, is a poor substitute for actually doing them. I guess that I'll just hang around for a while longer and see how others handle those type of problems. Pardon my rant.

Re: Goodbye
Welcome back, Sut! Hang in there...life is indeed a roller coaster. I went to "the ranch", this weekend. Within 15 minutes I encountered a flat tire on my Polaris, a flat tire on my tractor...a leaking hydraulic cylinder on the tractor and ten minutes later another leaking hydraulic cylinder. Tried to make myself feel better by stating they were "first-world" problems. Got the flat on the tractor fixed. The Polaris was beyond repair...so I ordered some new tires. Didn't get around to the hydraulic cylinders...maybe next weekend. Best part of the last three days, was picking up a pizza and taking the wife, down to the river, for a picnic.
