Looks like a great show, wish I had something like that around here. My collector friend is driving up from Chicago. I would definitely recommend stopping by Doug Ponzio's table, he is a damascus master, amazing steel and puts a ton of work into it. Would be interested to know if Ken Erickson is there with a table. Have a great time folks!

I didn't go this year. My truck and my teeth are eating all my expendable funds for the foreseeable future. Sure do miss getting to see Keith and MN Dave along with any other AAPK'ers that make the trip. Enjoy Boyz.

Took one picture and the phone died. Should have taken my trusted old Canon A-1 with me...and three rolls of 36 exposure film. Can you even buy film anymore?

Jerry, we missed you. Weather was great, show was great and I'm thrilled with my haul. Top knife (Utica fixed) was from an antique shop on the way home along with the unmarked, probably German, stag top lock. The picture coke hunter is a Aerial, the Red White and Blue is an Imperial, the English Jack bone two blade is a Winchester, the sway back ebony is a H.S.and B., the Stag hawkbill with the really nice swedge is an early IXL, the dog's head stag clasp hunter is an obvious KA-BAR and the bottom knife, a Jaeger Bros. was waiting in my mailbox when I got home ( thanks Dennis). It was a great weekend with deals I couldn't be happier with. Most of these cost me half what they probably would cost anywhere outside the Midwest. All the knives from the show together cost me a little over $400. That's probably less than the value of the Winchester and the Dogshead KA-BAR alone.____Dave

Picked up this at the show. Have a bunch of these melon/sausage testor knives in my arsenal already. Never saw one with the main blade serrated only that way on the tip like that before. Had to have it. This was the only knife I bought at the show. In my mind I bought a few hundred ! My wife came along too. Her first time at a knife show like this. She was kinda overwhemed I think. All of us enthusiasts in one place talking steel. .rust. .stag..condition..value ect....Bought her some nice cases for her kitchen cutlery, then we went to her favorite diner on the way home. She has always been understanding of my passion for all things sharp..and dull too.

Now petesknives, that is a keeper. I don't have one with the little fork on the end. But now I'm on the watch. That understanding lady you took with you sounds like a keeper too but I already have one of those. ::tu:: ::tu::
