Charlie your robesons are wonderful to see.

I think I have one of the same jr cattles that you do. Mine is missing the shield. It's an exceptionally well made knife, with basically perfect fit and finish, great snap and solid as a rock. Good thin grinds that cut well. Very slim and well rounded handles like a proper knife. No factory does hafting like this anymore.

KnifeSlinger, I think the shield on your knife probably looked like this:

Thanks Charlie. Perhaps I can find a parts knife with a correct shield to put on mine.

Another robeson that I like is this little jack. It also happens to be an equal end.

It is a pleasure to look at the nice equal end patterns that have been posted. Here is a bakers dozen with eleven 3 5/8" and two 3 3/8" equal end patterns from a variety of brands. Most of these have been posted individually elsewhere on AAPK. The image size is large so it will be slow to download if you try to enlarge it.

Thank you doglegg. As I pointed out the last time I posted this, the steer's head is carved right from the bone, not something applied to it.

Thank you for putting such a beautiful Cattle knife in this thread, Quick Steel.
That knife is a real piece of work. I wasn't aware that the handles were carved like that.
And I didn't know that Queen did such a thing. I think I have seen Imperial with those covers and I'm sure they weren't carved.
A very nice knife.

I appreciate the comment FRJ. As you may know, this was a Queen/Joe Pardue effort.
