OMG, too funny....$1.00 at a time bidding!!
Got this newbie bidding on my auction, $1.00 at a time, then bids again, then again, then again.....OMG too funny.
Hopefully he learns soon about proxy bidding....
He's probably wondering how someone outbids him every time he bids....I know it happened to me when I was a green horn.

Actually, if you show the "automatic" bids, it looks like there are two bidders going at it .50 at a time.

I've got to the point where if I see an auction I'm interested in, I just use the "automatic bid" feature; set it to my limit, and just leave it alone. I used to do the same starting out, until I learned of that feature. Way less headache.

not me. if I really want it, I dig in, lay in wait. I'll go without food or water the entire last 5 mns of the auction, motionless, prepared to strike in the final seconds. Gixen sniper program. Set it and forget it. You don't even have to be paying attention to your computer. Get it or don't. Eazy Peazy, Lemon Squeazy.

I too subscribe to be GSgt Carlos Hathcock School of eBay.
But I use a sniper rifle.
I will carefully set up the ambush site by researching previous auctions so I have an expectation of what it will take to win. I then lock & load my sniper rifle with what I am willing to pay, lock my snipe bid in place and wait for the auction to end.
It is cheaper in the long run for me and I win most of the ones I snipe if I have done my research and am willing to pony up with a realistic bid.
There aren't many knives anymore that get me so excited that I have to watch the auction end.
Must be my age...?

I use a sniper program also. Win more auctions and saves me money.
