80s Shrade?

Post by Cletus Awreetus »

from one of everyone's favorite sellers; I lived thru the 80s and I don't think I visited many websites back then. Now, I could be mistaken here and feel free to correct me but if I'm reading the add right, I wouldn't expect "visit our website" to be written on the back of this package. I'm not so sure about that bar code neither...

My quick google research came up with this, so I don't know how they could have had a website in the 80's.

August 6, 1991
The first web page went live on August 6, 1991. It was dedicated to information on the World Wide Web project and was made by Tim Berners-Lee. It ran on a NeXT computer at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN. The first web page address was http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html.

There have been a number of cautionary posts regarding this seller over recent years. Your mileage may vary, but I wouldn't buy anything from this source ever for any reason or any price. Just me. (And a few hundred thousand other people).

If telling the truth were a crime, there wouldn't be enough evidence to convict him. ::td::

It is a Schrade USA knife from just before closing in 2004. The packaging in the last year or so came from China but the knives were still being made in Ellenville, N.Y.
Calvin do you know when this 'clam pack' with printed cardboard insert saying "Printed in China" was first used ?
