Can’t help with knife info, but will offer a welcome to AAPK! Tons of info here.
Given the stamp on the “spey like” blade, I am not getting close to that sucker!

Looks like a Taylor Eye Whitness. Sheffield made. Great find Like the stamped blades

Apparently that knife is of no use in the East, where I will remain.
Are there any accessories in the handle on the back side?

Welcome James,
If you go to the Search function (upper left under "Quick links") and search on "western castrator" you will find a number of posts showing that blade stamp, all Sheffield except one German (Solingen).
