Favorite Tang Stamps
Re: Favorite Tang Stamps
Ha!
Having trouble remembering who used this stamp.
I think it's a neat stamp.

That is another nice one, Joe. The previous two, that you posted in this thread, were real beauties, I like this one as well. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Favorite Tang Stamps
That’s an unusual one. Any idea who the maker is?
Here’s one I’ve often wondered about. Several sources say “North American” was a brand name used in the early days of Case, when they were jobbers (and farmers) living in Nebraska. I’m curious if they ever were in Kansas? I believe this knife to be from around 1900 or maybe earlier.

Wow, Mumbleypeg, that old North American knife is gorgeous! It checks off every box, as far as I am concerned!

Ken-Yeah, it’s a Schmidt and Ziegler. I should have posted that stamp as well but it’s a little hard to make out. Sweet little knife. As for that North American, I don’t have any insight but it’s a beautiful knife.
Olde Cutler-I love that Voos stamp!

Thanks for the detailed KK pictures Dan, just dated my ECS KK jack to the WW-I ca. era. OH

O.C., that is a very nice lineup of knives you have posted. I especially like that Atlantic Cutlery, but they all look impressive.

Re: Favorite Tang Stamps
Thanks, I kind of go for the more obscure tang stamps and knives that you don't see every day.

Is there anyone here who exclusively collects tang stamps?
