Kutmaster Cattle..? Maybe

What kinda Pattern is this...a Cattleman Knife or there blade Cigar..? No that’s not right.

It's a cattle knife. Also called cigar or cattleman, and other names.

It has three blades and the same basic round-ended shape as a cattle knife, but it has no spey blade. In my book the lack of a spey blade eliminates it from being a “cattle knife”. Levine’s Guide to Knives says:

The master blade of a cattle knife is most often a spear blade, although many, including most Case cattle knives, have clip master blades. A few have sheepfoot master blades. The second blade is usually a spey, while the third can be a sheepfoot, a pen, or a punch.”

(Italics are mine).

The same basic round-ended shape is found on cigars, scout/utility/campers, and some others having three or more blades.

JMO, but I tend to be a purist. Some here will no doubt disagree.
