I’m sure you’ll enjoy toting that as much as I’m enjoying mine!
Cool knives those 701s!

I notice the nail nick on your clip blade is positioned farther back along the spine than mine. What year is yours? Mine’s a 91.

I (insert drum roll) slit open an envelope! I'm sure I could have done it better with an instant deploy, spring-loaded, super steel "tactical" knife but my little old Vic Recruit managed the job.

I wish they still made it in Alox (known officially back then as the Cadet II which has not been produced since sometime way back in the '70s), but I'm a big fan of the Recruit. Lightweight and slim due to having no tools on the back, and the pen blade, in my opinion, is more valuable than the Cadet's nail file.

I put a strap on my sheath for my fixed blade. I made the sheath a few years ago and the knife was pretty secure before, but now if I take a tumble on the trail there is less chance of it coming out.

Nice picture Dan! ::tu:: Here is a question; Why are the Victorinox Swiss Army Alox so popular? ::hmm:: I have a buddy with a retail cutlery shop and he says they are by far the best seller? I guess I am old school and have always mainly stuck with the standard red scale version. When I get an Alox, some knife buddy always wants to trade for it :|
