Not Miller Bros

**When this company closed in 1929 they owed a former employee a substantial debt which they settled by giving him all of their knife making machinery - that was the catalyst for him opening his own knife company. Neither company is obscure and you've all heard of both of them.

Not Winchester, Challenge or Cattaraugus. But, Winchester was a good guess.

Not Walden or Wards. Hardware brand. When I said previously that Winchester was a good guess, that was a clue.

Not sure if Catt made any knives for K.K.. I have a Catt that's a dead ringer for that knife, flat bolsters and all, which is why I guessed it. What are it's dimensions? Thanks, J.O'.

I have never heard of Catt making Keen Kutters? However, that doesn't mean it didn't happen? The most commonly thought of makers of Keen Kutters are Walden, Winchester and Camillus. I believe the one I posted was made by Winchester. The knife is 3 1/2". I paged through Ritchie and Stewart's Cattaraugus catalog reprint and found what I think may be the knife you are talking about. They called it a large equal end jack. So maybe it is larger than 3 1/2"??
