Re: Mystery Knife Game
Only one guess so far, and that a couple of days ago. I will bump this up again by throwing out this one:

Not Ulster, wish it were a Catt. It is a New York manufacturer. J.O

Re: Mystery Knife Game
The only one I can think of is Kent NYC which was the Woolworths store brand made by Camillus....and not actually made in NYC despite the tang stamp, lol. That knife looks a little too fancy to be a Kent. I'm stumped.Ridgegrass wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 9:17 pm Sorry Fellers, none of those. Hint: Made in NYC, gone by the nineteen twenties. J.O'.

Tang Stamp is New York, NY. Company was an importer but switched to US manufacture in WWI. Can't say definitively who made them. J.O'.

No Danno. Looks like this one's gonna be tough. Not trying to "stump the band". Just pulled it off the shelf. Thanks. J.O'.

Re: Mystery Knife Game
There it is!! How'd you figure it out? J.O'.
Re: Mystery Knife Game
I went through the pocket knife brand list in LGIV, a few times. He lists two Crown Cutlerys, but I initially discounted them, as they were listed as import/wholesale and wholesale. About the third time through I noticed a note for the second listing that said they were manufactured in the US during WW1. I will get a knife up as soon as there is enough daylight to take a picture.

That took some research! Good job. I've done that Levine scan. It'll cross your eyes.
Is your knife American made? J.O'.
