KAY BROS Anybody recognize the brand?

Post by Ridgegrass »

This is a 3-1/8" Cocobolo handled, iron-linered, boy's knife. The mark is KAY BROS, both blades. No country of origin. It appears to me to be a German import. Must be pre-tariff with no origin stamp. Wondering if anyone has ever seen that marque. Could it be a shortening of KRUSIUS BROS?
Thanks, J.O'.

That's a great piece ! Hard to tell without a test but it sure does look like ivory. Celluloid that old would almost certainly have shrunk at least some. I know a test for ivory or any natural material but if I posted it here I'd certainly be crucified! Sorry, still a super nice knife. Lucky man! J.O'.
