Very recently, I added this VALLEY FORGE - CUTLERY CO. - NEWARK, N.J., 2 blade, 2 tang stamps, a blade etch, 3 1/8" closed pocket knife to my collection. Goins says "c 1892-1950." I cleaned what I could, mainly the tang stamps. I didn't want to mess around with or near the blade etch or what remains of the blade etch. I took some pictures and here it is.

That is a very nice knife Skip! I don't have any of that brand, but I sure would like too. Thanks for posting it... ::tu::

Very recently, I added this VALLEY FORGE - CUTLERY CO. - NEWARK, N.J., 2 blade, 2 tang stamps, 3 3/8" closed, bone handles pocket knife to my collection. Each blade has a 3-line tang stamp, but both tang stamps are different. The seller said it's from 1892-1899 and that the handles are green bone. This is my third VALLEY FORGE pocket knife. The other two are posted on page 2. It didn't need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Beautiful knife, but in my opinion, not "green bone".

Thanks...I was up in Phoenix, AZ today to meet up with a couple of knife buddies and it was only 117 degrees so I took advantage of the cooler weather to take some pictures of a few of my knives.
