Man, when it rains it pours! I received 2 packages with 7 knives in one and 4 in the other yesterday, and I've just now caught-up with stud and pocket-clip removals, and with more on the way I'll be able to post a knife a day for a couple weeks. I'll start with this beautiful Schatt & Morgan 9 1/2" oal slip-joint that was recently "bombed" to me from my pal ~Q~. It has a SS Wharn/sheepfoot blade with a long 2" pull, NS ribbed bolsters and shield, brass liners and pins, and nicely grained Rosewood covers. Weighs a solid 5 oz.'s and arrived recently sharpened. The opening pull is quite firm at about a 6, and the closing features a half-stop and very strong detent. Fit and finish is immaculate. It's been awhile since I posted a knife, and it sure feels good to be doing it again! 8)

I need to post 2 knives today guys in order to get caught up! This one is an 8" oal Bear & Son brass colored aluminum slip-joint sodbuster, that sports a SS drop-point blade with nick, aluminum body, adjustable pivot, SS screws, and a clip. Comfortable weight of about 3 oz.'s and came scary sharp. Opens with a strong pull and closes with a half-stop and killer detent. Excellent fit and finish. Another from a recent order from Jamie, and it's a beauty! 8)

I'll continue with this piece that came in the order from Jamie, with this Rough Rider RRR017 Barlow slip-joint! It has a D2 spear-point blade with match strike nick, NS ringed bolsters, brass liners shield lanyard tube and pins, and tan linen micarta covers. I'll say it weighs about 2 oz.'s and arrived RR sharp. Quite strong opening pull, along with a half-stop and very strong detent when it closes. Perfect fit and finish. This is the 4th knife from that recent order, and it's without a doubt, the smallest Barlow I've seen to date! 8)

This is the 4th from the Jamie order! It's a 6 1/2" oal Rough Rider RR2285 slip-joint with a SS Wharncliffe blade that sports a short top (I don't know why the sentence separated like this, nor do I know how to fix it, sorry!)
swedge and pull, SS brushed bolsters, black linen micarta covers, SS liners, adjustable pivot, and lanyard hole. The SS liners add some weight at about 3 oz.'s and came RR sharp. Has a very strong opening pull, along with an equally strong half-stop and detent. I have 1 more that I ordered from Jamie that I'll post tomorrow, as well as 3 gift "bombs" he sent along that I'll post the next day! This little RR is one nice folder! 8)

These 2 gentleman's knives came in an order from Mark at SSk! Up first is a Bertram Cutlery 100 5 1/4" oal all-metal slip-joint canoe with a SS drop-point blade with long nick, brushed SS 2-piece body, NS bullet shield, and lanyard hole. Very light at only 1.6 oz.'s and came dangerously sharp. The EXTREMELY strong pull is almost uncomfortable to use, and the closing detent and half-stop are equally strong, making opening/closing quite difficult on a small knife. Fit and finish is impeccable. Up second is an A.G. Russell 5 3/4" oal lockback Pen knife with a SS drop-point blade with nick, polished SS 2-piece body, and lockback blade release. Also quite light at only 2 oz.'s exactly and arrived equally sharp. The pull on this one is much softer and comfortable, as is the half-stop and detent. Perfect fit and finish. These knives turned out to be much smaller than I had envisioned, but they are so well built and solid I can easily overlook their size! Thanks Mark! 8)

Dang, Marco! You done good, brother! Nice looking acquisitions you got there. I’m particularly drawn to that Schatt & Morgan you’re showing. It’s a beauty, for sure!

Thanks Tim! ::handshake:: That big S & M was actually a "bomb" from ~Q~ that he sent me last week! I'm not surprised you're drawn to it, it's one fine knife, and BIG, and FREE, what can I say! 8)

These are the "bombs" Jamie dropped on me that I promised to post! A Gerber utility linerlock folder, a Rough Rider slip-joint toothpick with white fluted covers, a Cold Steel dual-edged dagger with a flat back side, and a tactical pen for using around the house! Thanks buddy! ::handshake:: ! 8)

When I bought this, I figured it was nothing but a novelty, but when I fired it for the first time, I could barely believe it's power! It's an unbranded 9" oal "Guardfather" automatic spike that is very simple in its design consisting only of an aluminum tube, spike dart, strong spring, and a rotating pocket-clip that conceals the firing button when turned. It only weighs about 2 oz.'s and has a perfect fit and finish. Although I've yet to try, I'm sure it would penetrate a piece of paper, but not strong enough for cardboard! The defensive aspect aside, this would make an excellent metal or wood scribe, but I just fire it cuz it's so cool to do so! 8)

Thank you so much Nev! ::handshake:: When I went shopping in Jamie's store, the B & S was the first knife I picked out, and when I finally had it in-hand I was completely impressed. I'll bet your linerlock model is just as cool! 8)

I had this whole big long post typed out and went to add pictures, but the "Place in Line" box wasn't there, so I clicked-on the title and it took me to the "Sign-In" page and deleted my post! ARRHHH! ::dang:: ::facepalm:: ::doh:: ::mdm:: :x ! So, I'll try again. These 2 models came from Mark at SSk yesterday, and I'm really liking them! The top knife is an 8" oal Junglee linerlock with an AUS-8 steel Wharncliffe blade with t-stud, single SS liner, NS pins, black synthetic covers, and a p-clip. Nice weight of about 4 oz.'s and it arrived freshly sharpened. Comfortable pull with a half-stop and firm detent. The fit and finish is superb. Made in Seki, Japan. This is a nice knife! The bottom model is an 8 1/4" oal Robeson slip-joint with a SS spear-point blade with n/n, NS bolsters and shield, brass liner and pins, and strawberry red jigged synthetic covers. A bit heavier at about 5 oz.'s and equally sharpened. Now to the pull and detent! This knife has without a doubt, the strongest pull I've had to pull, with a totally realistic rating of 10 along with a jarring half-stop and dangerously strong detent that deserves the same 10 rating! Please don't get me wrong I love my new knife, but it takes all my strength to pull out the blade, and I must be vigilant of my digits when I close the blade if I want to continue using 10 fingers! It does display a perfect fit and finish though. Made in the USA. This too is a nice knife! 8)

Thanks bud! A seller on Ebay use to have a few blemished copies up for sale, but I missed those and spotted this one months later at half the price in new condition, so naturally I pulled the trigger! 8)

My daily carry is a Leatherman. I know, it’s not my idea of a knife, either. It’s simply a tool. My comfort knife, my Sunday/ go-to-meeting knife is a single blade Richards. I like this knife for its age and all the unknown history it contains. (unknown history leaves the imagination to roam freely). I carry this knife(1865-1908) along with a gold Waltham’s pocket watch (1908) on a silver chain. I love the history that must be connected with these items.
