CAVES and DISPLAYS. LET'S SEE YOURS.

Thought it might be nice to see some shots of members "caves" and displays. How do you display your knives at home? Anybody want to be first? J.O.

Now I know why there are no knives in the antique shops when I go to visit Mom.😁

Wow, Garddog, that's quite a lot of knives! My collection is something of a pittance by comparison--but I've only really been at it for a year or so. I started carrying after I got a nice stockman from my dad when he passed, and then lost it to TSA a few years later (guess I wasn't used to carrying yet and didn't think about it until too late). I checked around for something to replace it, and bought an inexpensive Tree Brand on "That Auction Site", then another. Then I started looking at other brands and--holy cow, there're a lot of different knives out there!

I've been working on my "Knives around the World" project, but also sometimes buying whatever catches my eye. I don't spend a lot of money because I feel like I don't know enough to spend sensibly. But I'm having fun.

Anyway, I'm using cigar boxes to store knives--with basswood separators glued in and lined with black cotton flannel. They look pretty decent (except the one I didn't get the lining straight) and work pretty well. THey're cluttering up the dresser in my bedroom, though, so I'm going to have to find another place for them.

My simple displays. Picked up a bunch of these 'boxes from wally world a while back and drilled holes for small dowels to hold the knives, works pretty well although I need about 3 more now and wally world doesn't have them anymore. I do want to upgrade to challenge coin/golf ball display cases next year. Not shown are the fixed blades except for the GEC and most of my moderns and current edc rotation that reside on my desk.

Nice display's guys! :) I keep mine in an old cabinet my wife got off her parents. I am running out of room in there and have bought some shadow boxes. We just moved in to our new home, so my basement is slowly becoming my Office/Man Cave. :)
