You guys are amazing, K7K and IMan! What super knives you both have!
Re: In praise of single blade lockbacks...
I cannot find the current production equivalent of the 200 (Micro LST? I think is what Gerber calls it now) for the life of me. But, until it disappeared a couple of weeks back, I used it a lot.
Picked these two up recently. The Mercator I didn't think to include, as to me, it's a midlock. The Colonial just showed up today.

All 3 beautiful knives Iman, but that Case is off the chain! What an absolutely gorgeous folder! I've never seen a knife quite like that one, it's easy to see why it's your crown jewel! You always post the nicest knives bud, I'd LOVE to see a shot of them ALL together if you ever get a burst of energy and want to go to the trouble... !Ivoryman wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 1:33 am Killer knives FRJ, love the Boker and the Spydie is cool too. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
Few more. Moki Kronos is off the shelf run of the mill for the year. The Case Copperlock didn't come that way. Good man Island Q commissioned it with Glennbad doing the rescaling in E. Ivory. bare head and lanyard tube too makes it one of a kind really, crown jewel for me. Hats off to them. And the Baby LB is a Tim Britton custom.

Thanks Marco, that Case is out of the park thanks to Q and Glenn. Visionaries. I have seen many many knives come and go by since then but I don't know if any have moved me more. Top 5 all time for me, was and will be. The only ones that compare are some of the Case Copperlocks that Q has had Glen modify that are in fabulous stag and mammoth. And I believe he has some autos, maybe he'll show them again if you ask him, but I know they are back in old Case threads, or Lockback love, or Auto knives or something. You want to be blown away just search out old Case Copperlocks from Q and you will see better stuff than mine. Blllllloooooooooooooow you awaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beautiful amazing stuff. Thanks for the comments, thought those three would get some reaction.
I'll think about some group shots. But I can't promise every knife I have stored away in different containers, several shelves, displays, in drawers, in storage, kids rooms etc. I can't promise I will get them all together and lay them out and photograph the group. Plus I seem to have accumulated several times more than I ever thought I would. It's hard for me to fit them in one shot. I could definitely lay out some knife rolls or shoot some shelf shots so we'll see what we can do. Thanks again for the comments.

KnifeKnut, that's a great bunch to scroll through. Fabulous variety and classic old lookers in there. Great stuff.
FRJ, great bones on that beast. Looks like the same bone as that Gunstock you were carrying the other day. Keep "em coming, love this thread already.

Absolutely spectacular knives Mike! Is your stag Henckels swinguard an ancient antique, or can they be found for purchase somewhere? Thanks, Mark!ObsidianEdge wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 6:14 pm Here's a Miller Brother's lockback with a skinning tool on the end. Only made for a few years. 7 inches closed.

Thanks guys for the nice comments. Mark, Henckels quit making its own pocketknives around 1960. The swing guard is probably pre WWI.

You need to move to Arkansas. Not only can anyone who can legally own a firearm can carry it concealed without a license, they can carry any blade, pocket knife, bowie knife, straight razor, sword or sword cane with total impunity...Ridgegrass wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 1:02 pm Somebody, with any level of intelligence, explain to the world any rational reason at all for banning a knife that locks back ?????
