Thank you sir! The Kershaw is one of my all time favorites. Luckily, I got it long enough ago that it was cheap!Madmarco wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 8:19 pmBeautiful collection of lockbacks Kerry. I've never been a fan of knives with more than 1 blade, so S/B/L/B's are one of my favorites, and I own a bunch of em'. And I'm with GSPTD regarding your Kershaw folder, I've wanted one of those for ages but their still high prices have so far kept me at bay. You sure own some nice ones!toomanyknives wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 2:21 am So, i was thinking that I must like single blade lockbacks... There are a few more around here somewhere.... "Banning" involves government, therefore intelligence, and reason do not enter into the equation at all.

Knife7nut: I had a Samuel Wragg dirk that was very similar to your Greaves. It was in "relic" shape too, one scale etc. but a perfect blade. A dealer friend sold it for me 25 years ago at a show somewhere in New England for BIG bucks. Not braggin', just happy. J.O'.

Re: In praise of single blade lockbacks...
As my grandfather used to say:"If you can do it;it ain't braggin!" Apparently parts such as bolster caps were made by companies that sold to many different knife manufacturers which is why you see the same ones on different knives. Probably the NCCA show in Connecticut.I used to be a member when I lived in Massachusetts.Cindy(Raab)Taylor's husband Jim was from England and wrote articles for several knife periodicals had a large assemblage of English dirks. He was the one who authenticated my Fred James bowie. He knew Fred and his wife Ivy personally and had written a couple of articles about them. Sadly Jim passed away awhile ago and the last I heard Cindy was living in Florida and out of the knife business.Ridgegrass wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 1:03 pm Knife7nut: I had a Samuel Wragg dirk that was very similar to your Greaves. Few more. Moki Kronos is off the shelf run of the mill for the year. The Case Copperlock didn't come that way. Good man Island Q commissioned it with Glennbad doing the rescaling in E. Ivory. bare head and lanyard tube too makes it one of a kind really, crown jewel for me. Hats off to them. And the Baby LB is a Tim Britton custom.

You guys are amazing, K7K and IMan! What super knives you both have!
Re: In praise of single blade lockbacks...
I cannot find the current production equivalent of the 200 (Micro LST? I think is what Gerber calls it now) for the life of me. But, until it disappeared a couple of weeks back, I used it a lot.
Picked these two up recently. The Mercator I didn't think to include, as to me, it's a midlock. The Colonial just showed up today.

All 3 beautiful knives Iman, but that Case is off the chain! What an absolutely gorgeous folder! I've never seen a knife quite like that one, it's easy to see why it's your crown jewel! You always post the nicest knives bud, I'd LOVE to see a shot of them ALL together if you ever get a burst of energy and want to go to the trouble... !Ivoryman wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 1:33 am Killer knives FRJ, love the Boker and the Spydie is cool too.
