I'm only 3/4ths of a mile from the P O lucky me!
Australia can be a bit hit and miss, depending on how it is sent. I have had them take 6 weeks, and i had one parcel from Idaho take 6 days. :)

I can relate to USPS issues, not necessarily with Knife Center but another knife distributor. It was back around Christmas and apparently USPS reuses tracking numbers. The one they provided was for something delivered to someone else back before Thanksgiving. I did tracking through the USPS website, put in a claim, got a call from a local USPS employee and then the next day it showed up. Probably was kicking around in the back of someone's truck for a few weeks.

I recently received an order from Knife Center, one knife was backordered and I knew that up front. This order was placed in March but I could track the order status through the Knife Center website. When it said it finally shipped it took about a week to receive it.

Just FYI USPS delivers Express Mail 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

USPS will deliver a package from your door to anywhere in the U.S. for $5, if you can beat that, more power to you. ::shrug::

The ball was passed to USPS, and they dropped it! Yep, FedEx or UPS shipping when buying from online retailers, even if it costs a little more.
what is the difference between UPS and USPS?

It’s a fact that if you use EBay postage, it says it’s shipped even though you may have printed out the postage paid shipping label,on a Sunday or a holiday. Very misleading. On EBay purchases, I usually take the package to the post office, pay there (I live near a small “country” post office”) and then come back and email the buyer that it’s been shipped, the tracking number and estimated delivery date. Quite often I get an email back thanking me.

That’s what I do too. I couldn’t send the buyer a tracking number before that because I don’t have it until I leave the post office.

I ordered a Vic electrician from knife center monday.
On tuesday I got an email with tracking number.
All week it said 'label created... usps waiting on package'.
I email them on thursday and reply said it was shipped monday.
It went from 'waiting' yesterday to 'out for delivery/delivered' today.
Took 5 days and it only had to go about 220 miles.

So, not knife center's fault.
usps just sucks.

That's not as bad as it was last year, when USPS needed two weeks to move one of my outgoing shipments less than 15 miles!

I placed another Knife Center order this week. Paid for FedEx shipping, and had it in two days.

By the way, how are you liking that Victorinox Electrician?

I like em.
Probably the best utility knife ever.
I've worn out 4 or 5 over the years including the one this is replacing.
I really don't have any "beater" knives but I guess this would qualify.
It's my scraping, prying, digging, poking, drilling, reaming, take all the abuse I wouldn't use my Schrade USA stockman for.
I don't like loaning a knife to anyone but if I have to I loan this one.
I really like the second knife blade better than a can opener for what I do with this knife.
