"Henry Sears Co." Pocket Knife

Post by GSPTOPDOG »

I have posted this on a more specific Specialty Forum, but not a lot of luck it getting more information. Maybe someone has not seen this and will see it in the General Knife Discussion and be familiar with this knife maker.

This tang stamp of "Henry Sears Co." is making me a little more confused then I normally am... anyone have any idea about this knife? I see different tang stamps but not one that is exactly "Henry Sears Co." I posted this under the "Specific Knife Forums Camillus Cutlery Collector's Forum" thinking it was made by Camillus, I am hoping the experts will have some insights as to when this was made the maker etc...etc...

I have a thread, "Henry Sears and Son 1865" in "Knife Lore" that you might find interesting/helpful.

The knife looks like it could be an Imperial product. Levine's guide shows 1878-1959. I would think the knife dates to the 1940's or so.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
