Thought I would introduce myself before joining any discussions. I'm interested in 'old knives', especially pre-wwii Case, Schrade, Buck, Boker, Western and similar, including smaller fixed blade hunters. I also have a few old Herder pocket knives. I have very little interest in modern high-end knives; however, I have quite a few Spyderco, mostly discontinued models. (I'm a historical hardware junkie). I look forward to discussing knives with you all.

Welcome to AAPK. Several here share your interests, and you’ll find a lot of posts including information about historical hardware company cutlery brands. Here are some examples found via the keyword search function. https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... mit=Search
Enjoy, and jump in with any information you can add to the discussions.

Thanks for the welcome. I posted my intro in this forum after a search on 'introduction', but now, digging deeper into the forums sub-forum structure, I see I posted in the wrong place. My apologies!

Thanks. I just tried to post pictures over in the Case sub-forum. In the FAQ it said to use the 'img' tags, but when I tried I got a message saying that it wasn't allowed. That just leaves uploading photos into the forum's space, which seems like a bad idea since I have all of my pictures in IMGUR. Am I missing something?

If I knew how to do it myself I would post it for you, H-S, but unfortunately I don't, so you need to wait for Ken (Mumbleypeg) to chime-n again as he is our onsite techno wizard and will likely post simple instructions for you to post pictures.
Be patient and hang-in there!

Are you posting from your computer or phone? That's what I do. Once upon a time I used Photobucket but now I think it's easier just clicking on [Post Reply] then the [Attachments] tab below, clicking on [Add files] and selecting the photo(s) right from their folder on the device where they are kept.
Hopefully I was of some help.
