Just joined this weekend and wanted to say hello and thanks for having me, looking forward to being a part of such a distinguished group. I have a modest knife collection, have a great appreciation of the old brands and will be posting some pictures in the future.

Welcome aboard. Grab a rack and stow your gear.

I was looking at your user name and wondered if there's any connection to Waukonda, IL.

Edit: But then a little research told me it has a slightly different spelling ('c' instead of 'k').

Just back from a walk in the woods and exercising my right arm throwing sticks for my Black Lab to fetch and see your responses. Thanks for your welcome. I live in Southern Illinois, grew up here, lived in Cincinnati/Northern Ky area for a while and spent a few years in Michigan. However, the lure of paying high taxes while getting little in return drew me back to Illinois.

In response to Jerry, one of the streets in the town where I worked in Michigan was named Waukonda, decided on it for a username.

Ike, I want to offer a warm welcome from Alabama!
I am not very distinguished, but I have been labeled an "Expert"!
When you break that down phonetically:
"Ex" means 'a has-been'
"Spurt" means 'a drip under pressure'
Jesus is life.
Everything else is just a hobby.

Well, Ike. I grew up in White County, Gallatin County, Evansville, IN, and Saline County before we moved North. Still have relatives in Carmi and New Haven but they're getting scarcer all the time.

Howdy Waukonda! ::welcome:: to AAPK from the Florida Panhandle.
Don't know about Waukonda but do know about Wakulla, the name of a first magnitude freshwater spring south of Tallahassee, Florida. :)

Hi Ike!
I’ve been noticing your posts. Welcome!
I’m not an expert at anything, but this is a great place to learn! It goes far beyond knives too.
When I got here, just over a year ago, I had a couple of folders and two fixed. Now I must have over a hundred. I’ve also upped my buddy count considerably! ::handshake::
You like it here!
