Greetings from Missouri

Post by Mavrik »

I've been lurking about this forum recently and joined a couple of days ago.

I've always been interested in knives but I wouldn't really term myself a collector, more of an accumulator of anything that interests me or catches my eye. The closest I probably come to a collection is that I several Buck knives that I've acquired over the years. Other than the few knives that I've inherited or been gifted, I've picked up most of my knives at various estate sales/auctions that I attend.

This site has a wealth of information on everything and because I know everyone likes pictures here's one of a Schrade-Walden 148 that I got in the bottom of a box of other odds and ends this past fall.

Welcome Maverik! Whereabouts in MO? I have close friends near Hermann that I try to visit once a year. If you've never been to the knife show in Washington in July then put it on your list; it's a good one. I made it there in 2018 (see: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=58105&p=663446&hili ... on#p663446).

::welcome::

Welcome to AAPK. Missouri is a beautiful state. I have several kinfolks living in SW Missouri, and my son lived near St. Louis for several years. ::tu:: I usually make it to Missouri at least once or twice a year.

I'm west of St. Louis but not as far as Hermann. I was planning to get to the Washington show this year but a family matter cropped up and I couldn't make it that weekend unfortunately. Barring anything unforeseen I'll be there this year.
