New from Illinois
New from Illinois
Hey all,
I've collected autos and other modern knives over the years. I really like Protechs. I've been getting into more traditional knives and slipjoints.
I've recently acquired two AG Russell bolster lock toothpicks and love the design, fit, and finish. I look to keep adding more AG/Cattaraugus to my collection!
Thanks for.letting me in

I'm in Rockford but I get down to Bloomington now and then to see my grandkids (both grown).

Re: New from Illinois
I've been to Peoria a few times. We used to go watch the minor league baseball team, the Peoria Chiefs when they were a single A team of the Chicago Cubs with Ryne Sandberg as manager. Now I believe they are back with the St. Louis Cardinals, so I have no interest in them.
Being a career firefighter I really liked their logo at the time. A Dalmatian wearing a fire helmet. I still have a hat and t-shirt.
Is there still an Irish pub named Kellers ( Incorrect spelling I know). I think it was by the river. They made a delicious milkshake using Guinness beer.
Enough rambling WELCOME TO AAPK.

Re: New from Illinois
Hi and welcome!
I spent 6 months (late Aug '80 to early Feb '81) in Rantoul, back when Chanute AFB was still active as a training base.
I remember the winter. FLAT!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO STOP THE WIND! Needless to say it was a chilly march to class every day.
Glad you're here.
