Tom, I learned to drive with a '68 green Barracuda. 4 on the floor Hurst shifter, 318 V-8 and no power steering, power brakes or AC but it had an 8-Track. Had it up to 100 mph on a back road in Garrett County once. Those were the days!
 Cool! ::tu:: It would be worth some money now days. ::nod:: ::super_happy::

And I learned to drive in an old Renault 8 or Renault 10. ::hmm:: ::shrug:: It was from the 50's or 60's and the motor was in the rear of the car. Dad got it from a junk yard for some welding jobs he did for the junk yard. He put it on my grandmother's cow patch for me to play with. And my cousin & another neighbor also had cars on the cow patch. Of course there were no more cows there. We had a blast! ::nod:: I was like 10 or 11 years old at the time. ::woot:: Yes, those were the days! ::nod::

I used to take the Barracuda out into the hayfield after cutting and drift with it, 30 years before drifting. You could really get her sideways. 😉

Dressy without being too much so, I think.
Already have a black pair, needed brown.
Last two pairs were comfy right out of the box.
I wore their paddock boots for many years, first when I was doing English riding (as my instructor had had hers since she was a teenager, and they were still going strong), and then as dress shoes. In the time since, I've had the Terrain, and a pair of Western-style work boots. They will last a LONG time.

Matchbox Moving Parts Batch C/Wave 3. I did not preorder the first batch, which included the RAM ambulance in Peel Regional Paramedics livery. The batch wasn't distributed well, and the ambulance was one-per-case, causing stupid secondary market prices. Thus, I preordered the case back in April, and originally scheduled for May, it was delayed until mid-June. I ordered it from a large, established collectibles retailer, and strangely, smaller dealers got the cases MUCH earlier.

It shipped at just the wrong time for me financially--yup, last time I preorder something. At least I lucked out, and in mid-April, they were running a spring sale with free shipping. Still though, $28.99 is inflated for models that are $2-3 in the stores.

I'm keeping just one Seagrave, one or both Range Rovers (there is said to be a variant of right hand drive and left-hand-drive variants randomly mixed), and the Corvette. So, if any of you want any, let me know.

I have no idea Dan. I wanted to get myself one or two inexpensive pipes for the weekends when I am sitting around outside. Maybe get myself a Tobbaco with a sweet taste & smell. Like cherry or vanilla. ::hmm::
I heard about the corn cob pipes from Missouri & I thought they would be perfect. I especially like the ::hmm:: "Country Gentleman". Still looking for one of them on the bay. ::paranoid::

And of course I'll need a couple pipe knives too.

I had a Diplomat, which had the same finish as the Country Gentleman (the bowl had a different shape). It was a great pipe right up until I dropped it and broke the shank. A pipe knife would be cool to go with it. Don't forget the pipe cleaners!

Yes, they still make dumb phones. Most of what exist are usually restricted to the cheapest phones prepaid companies offer, but I'm on PureTalk, which means I had to go with unlocked.

I chose the Nokia 6300 4G to replace the Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 that's been giving me trouble. Nokia retired the older, tougher 6300 years ago, but this one is said to be almost as good.

The USB recharging port on my Skullcandy Air Raid speaker went bad, and every USB cord I tried didn't change a thing. It's probably just loose on the motherboard or even the port itself worn out. However, you have to take half the speaker apart to get to it, and I don't have a good soldering iron.

They stopped making it YEARS ago--in fact, I think when I bought it at a sale price a little over four years ago for $20, it had already been discontinued. Given how rough I've been with it in that four years (and probably getting knocked off things while plugged in didn't help). Skullcandy stopped making wireless speakers. It was about $60 or 70 MSRP, so it was pretty decent.

In the meantime, I picked up a $20 Altec Lansing model from Walmart. I haven't yet ordered it, as I plan to see what other options my Walmart has first; and the weather's keeping me from it. At $24, it's still more expensive, but still the cheapest one Walmart had. It can be paired with a second identical speaker, and the two are still cheaper than the model with two drivers built in even after I purchase both.

This one is said to be fully waterproof, so I'm hoping I can use it in the shower. When I set the old one outside the shower in the bathroom, I have to turn it up so loud, my folks complain. Also, it's USB-C, which means that I can use the same cable that I use with my phone.

I don't really buy that many action figures, as I don't collect them.I have impulse bought a few on sale--typically those suitable with 1:9 or 1:12 scale (Breyer Traditional and Freedom/Classics) usually seep in. I also have several 3 3/4" that I use with 1:16 farm toys.

The Hunter Dan line was apparently produced between 2003-2007. This one is from the 2006 run. They were almost exclusively sold through sporting goods retailers, with Cabela's being the only national retailer. I wanted them as a kid, but they weren't cheap; thus my folks didn't OK them when leafing through the Cabela's catalog prior to Christmas. Every single piece of gear is licensed, and I suspect that probably explains why they were so expensive new. For example--she's wearing Rocky boots and has a Matthews bow. The camo is Realtree. I counted about ten different companies represented.

Despite nothing having been released since 2006 and the line having been retired for 15 years, the trademarks have been kept up to date, having last been renewed in 2014.

The Hunter Dan figure is relatively common, but they didn't make very many Hunter Ann figures at all. Only two versions were produced--each with basically the same gear--I think the original in 2003 came with a Remington rifle, while the 2006 issue had a Matthews bow.

Scored one new in a damaged box (cracked blister at the back) for $15. Going price is about $40.

As it just so happens, a Breyer set of whitetail deer from the '60s has been in the family since new, and it is also 1:9 scale, thus I have a perfect display already planned out.

I bought my first decent-sized lot of assorted model horses. The seller specializes in them, so hopefully they know how to pack a Stablemate so the legs don't break off.

The largest horse is from WIA, a German company that originally produced high-detail (and north of $100) resin 1:9 horses, but recently started making 1:18 horses in plastic based on the resin models, thus the quality is exquisite. They are said to be made by Bullyland and tend to be anywhere from $20-30 depending on the model. Hard to find in the US also. This one is brand new, but has some small defects--a molding flaw on the belly, and a paint flaw on one of the legs. The company sells the defective horses for 9 EUR each, but the shipping to the US is $30. Paid less than $20 here.

Some of the Stablemates are pretty old.

I've looked up most--about half were regular releases from about 20 years ago.

The Shetland Pony, Thoroughbred, and Clydesdale were the regular issues between 1998-2000.

The Paint (Native Dancer) is from a Saddle Club gift set produced between 1995-1997. Because the mold dates to the '70s, her details are much less than what modern Breyer Stablemates have to offer. Having read the books as a kid--I believe she represents Patches.

Each of the two foals are from different multi-packs--one produced in 2007-8, the other 2002-2006.
