Good Mornin’, Folks.
Enjoying my coffee at home, been to men’s prayer meeting early this morning. Grass needs mowing and it appears we could use a few more afternoon showers.
Our trip home was safe, our visit to Webster market didn’t produce any pocketknives but Miss Joy found several green glass items that matched her collection.
It’s good to be back in the calmer atmosphere of northwest Florida. I read in an article, “Florida is the only state where the further north you go, the more southern it becomes”. Glad we’re in that spot! :)
Have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone at FCD!

Got to run some errands this morning and then go by the church, we have some contractors that will be there and someone with the church needs to be on property too. Hope you all have a fantastic day and be a blessing to someone.... :D

Morning, FCD and AAPK!

A very nice 70* and LOTS of clouds this a.m. We're looking at a high of 83* with tstorms and rain to beat the band! And praise the Lord, we need it!
Dishes, cat litters, getting the trash out all on the schedule today. Maybe will get some sitting out time and enjoy the rain.
Y'all be good, be safe and be alert out there!

Good Morning fellow diners. 61 currently going to 80.

Read an article yesterday which did not make me happy. It seems that those pythons in south Florida are moving north, evidently near Tampa now. But worse, a study was undertaken to determine how far they could spread and the news was not good. It is thought that they could survive in at least half a dozen states. Not good.

Coffee is tasting extra good this morning.

Hope your day goes well for all of you.

Thanks for opening up, don't like the sound of the pythons, you can have that on your own. Everyone enjoy your coffee and your hump day.

Good Morning Everyone at FCD!

I'm up early today because Cheryl and I are heading down to Keller. There is a friend of mine that sells in an antique shop that called me last night and said he had some new knives in his displays. If he has one I like he always sells to me "off the books" so I don't pay sales tax and the shop owner doesn't get a percentage. Then there are some thrift stores that Cheryl likes to go to so we'll make a day of it and be back in time for Wednesday night church. Everyone have a blessed day and be a blessing to someone... :D

Good morning on this rainy dreary day, up here anyway. We had thunderstorms last night and today looks like a steady light rain that's supposed to last into the weekend. We have enough inside work to keep us going. Have a great Wednesday and I'll try to keep my powder dry.____Dave

Good Mornin', Knifers.
72 and clear this morning. We hit 93 yesterday and had 0.25" of rain. Got over half the yard mowed plus a good afternoon nap. :)
More of the same today, Lord willing.
Y'all have a wonderful hump day!

Just received a text this morning informing me that a fella that racked in the same hooch as me in Viet Nam passed away last night in his sleep. Rest in peace Dennis. :(

Good afternoon to all. Jerry, sorry to hear of the loss of your brother in arms.

It's currently in the low 80s here and will probably get down around 60 later on. I slept very poorly the night before last (thus my absence yesterday) and not much better last night. While busting up some cardboard earlier, I was blessed with both sunshine and precipitation. Gotta love Michigan weather. Y'all have a great day!

Good afternoon everyone. Due to the bad economy and inflated prices, I haven’t bought a knife in over six months. Went to the knife shop today and had sticker shock. I did however buy one. Rough Rider is a decent and low priced knife that is a bargain. They recently came out with a line called Rough Rider Reserve. They run from about $40-65. They are unbelievably well made. D2 steel blades and fit and finish second to none! Mine was on sale from $56 marked down to $35. While I usually get American or European made knives, this is an exception. Both the blades have a gator snap to them. If you haven’t already bought one, I’d highly recommend that you try one out. They compare favorably to ANY high dollar knife at a fraction of the cost. I’d consider it to be a helluva bargain even if it wasn’t marked down from the list price !!!!

Thanks Quick Steel. I have 2 others from Rough Rider Reserve that I bought last year. It’s difficult to believe that you can get this much quality for a low priced knife.

It is 7.730AM on Thursday the 18th of August over here, an historic day. Today marks the 60th anniversary of our country sending our first troops to the Vietnam war. Those young men are now 80 years old if still alive. To all who served in Vietnam my thanks and thoughts go out to you all. ::handshake::

Diner is open, hope you are all having a good week, not much happening here, bought a Tormek small knife attachment today for a cheap sharpening unit i bought. Been tinkering with it and it is a neat little sharpener, got some really clean bevels and sharp. For a relatively cheap unit compared to what you can pay i really like it. Enjoy your coffee everyone and have a good day. ::tu::
