Cool, John. 😎👍

We pass the Iron Furnace at Bloomery Gap, WV going the back way between Cumberland and Alexandria via Winchester. There's also an Iron Furnace at Furnace Acres, WV South of Cumberland on Rt. 28. I would have to see one of these in action to figure out how it worked. I think they also produced lime.

Scott, you have undoubtably introduced some youngsters to things they never would have a chance to learn about the outdoors. Great job, my friend! ::handshake:: Keep up the mentoring.

Nice Scott, those adventures sure have grown - pretty soon you’ll be leading a platoon through the boonies. OH

John, Your large knife is awesome. Couldn't make out the tang. The raggedy tree really contrasts with those two ramrod straight trees.

For sure it did have character. It drew my attention for a while trying to decide if it had, among other causes, been struck by lightning.
