The movie was Raintree County. Released in 1957 starring Montgomery Clift
and Elizabeth Taylor. Was considered a flop because it lost money.

Nice Cannas, my parents always had those at one end of the garden.
Here is a much smaller flower, about the size of a pencil eraser, a tiny Frog Fruit bloom magnified a few times.

How about another historical post.
First is the USS Cairo sunk in the Yazoo River by a floating mine.
While on duty outside Vicksburg, Ms.

This is the Illinois Monument in the Vicksburg National Military Park
Copy of P1010013.JPG
The Old Courthouse Museum, former courthouse of Vicksburg, Ms.
Was in use during siege of Vicksburg in 1863.
