Any "Keen Kutter" tools in your collection?Louisville.Boy1947 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 5:51 pmWatch out guys this is a disease that is easily caught and difficult to find a cure. Below is an example... not a third of the true number cleaned up, rehabbed, etc
I like that Willy!!!
That’s wonderful Dale! I have a couple of those, but not nearly that clean.orvet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 1:40 am I've always admired old hand tools especially the ones I grew up using. I found this in an estate sale and it would barely move, there was so much grime and hardened oil on it. Taking a page out of Jerry D's book, I used my sonic cleaner with a few drops of Dawn dish liquid in it. I couldn't get the frame in the tank, but I was able to get everything else in there disassembled. I cleaned it up and reassembled it with a little bit of Quick Release oil on it, (It's not just for switchblade you know). This hand drill now turns easily and it's an entirely different piece of machinery, It's really quite smooth now.
It even has some storage in the handle for drill bits.
I could spend a whole weekend perusing through those tools. Wow! But I agree with the others, that shop is way too organized. How do you do that???Louisville.Boy1947 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 5:51 pmWatch out guys this is a disease that is easily caught and difficult to find a cure. Dad found this at a flea market and got it for $15 or so because the guy said it didn’t work. Knowing that it would just sit in dad’s basement I finagled it off of him.
The neutral wire was off the post in the motor and the prong for the ground was broken off of the plug. I hooked the neutral wire back up, put a new plug on it and she’s running like a champ.
