Mornin' guys and gal! I woke up early this morning so I thought I'd open up the joint. I'll get the lights on, start the coffee and fire up the grill.
Hope you all have a knife day.

Good Mornin'.
Temperature is back down to 54, the radar shows rain over in Mobile or maybe a bit west of there. ::shrug:: Some time today, it'll probably get here. Yard and garden work this morning with our helper, probably work on cleaning up roots where we removed 2 big Eastern Cedar (Juniper) stumps that were blown down by Michael. A lady at church gave us 4 or 5 very big, healthy tomato plants that I need to put in 5 gallon buckets or the ground. I'd like to try them in buckets where they could be moved around when the summer heat finally cranks up, that way we might have fresh home grown 'mater sandwiches with Dukes Mayonnaise until frost comes! The heat usually kills the tomato plants pretty early in the summer, peppers that's another story, they'll survive near about any thing.
Coffee time , y'all have a blessed day!

Good morning. I'm off to the local grocery store to install some plastic panels on a ceiling so they can install a self serve hard ice cream parlor. The previous owner that had run the store passed away a few months ago and the new owners are trying something new along with all the things the store did to make it a pretty popular destination around here. It looks like the sun is trying to peek out a little along the shoreline behind our home. It's suppose to be a cloudy warm day. There is a small gun show tomorrow a few towns away that I'll probably head over to in the morning. Have a great Thursday. ____Dave

Good morning everyone
Well, actually it’s lunch. The wind is coming up and with the bay doors open it’s getting pretty cold in here. It’s beginning to cloud over too.
Off to uke club tonight. That’s always fun. This weekend is the big yearly collectables and antique swap in New Westminster. You bet I’m going!
Off to work some more.
Have a good and safe day everyone!

Good morning. Have a great show Ray. I'm off to a small gun show that is probably a waste of time, but who knows. We are in another cool spell with a chance of a little snow/Rain mix coming over the weekend and into next week. It appears we are going to have a long cool Spring to go with our never ending Winter. Have a great Friday. If I find anything at the show, you'll be the second to know. I'm sure my wife will be waiting when I get home to see what I bought (and for how much). ____Dave

Good Mornin', y'all.
Ray, do you feel a bit intimidated when you're surrounded by so many David's early in the morning? DM11, Just Plain Dave and djknife 13, lots of giant killers drinkin' coffee!
We had a rainy evening and had 1.2 inches in the gaugethis morning. Thankfully we were spared the 60 mph winds and tornados that were predicted. This is the first day this week we don't have something we "have to do". ::tu::
Coffee is being served, y'all have a blessed day!

Good morning everyone
That’s funny about the Dave’s. I was at a jam/house party a few years ago and at one point the whole band was made up of Dave’s! I called ‘em ‘D Squared’!
I’m at work sitting outside waiting for our Joe to come with the daily McD’s run. It’s mostly cloudy but not bad.
Really looking forward to the big antique and collectable swap tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll have a nice pile to post!
Have a good and safe day everyone!

Good Mornin', David and Ray. Looks like we are in for another fine day as far as weather goes, can y'all believe it's 48 this morning? Got several little jobs done yesterday, looks like it might be a good day to take it easy. ::hmm::
Good morning to the rest of the crew when y'all get here.
According to the USPS tracker there is an old PAL supposed to show up by 8pm tonight. Rural mail carriers don't do after dark around here, the only folks out that late are the UPS folks at Christmas time. :)
Y'all have a great day!

Good morning David and Ray. It's a chilly 32 degrees to start the weekend and suppose to get worse as the weekend progresses with a snow/rain mix coming Sunday. We have a neighbor's funeral tomorrow and probably another one later in the week for an old guy we've done a ton of work for over the years. It seems to be about all we've been doing this Spring and doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon. Have a good weekend and stay safe. ____Dave.......Good morning Phil.

Morning knifers, Dave I know what you're talking about on those funerals I'm going to a lot of them too. Buddy that I worked with for 40 years passed , but he didn't want any service. That seems to be a growing trend around here. I've already lost six friends this year. The weather is beautiful in northern Tn this morning a little cool at 39 deg. should hit 74 later today. Perfect for golf with the son and grandson. Yawl have a good'un. ::handshake::

Hi fellers. Coffee ain't the best by a long shot. It is drinkable however.
Doing something different today. 30+ years ago I flew RC planes.
I'm going to an RC flying field in Livingston to see what they have in modern times.
Also supposed to get a part to fix one of my watches.
The weather seems to be ok and going to stay that way.

Philip, MN Dave & Joe, I can empathize with all the losses you're relating. I've lost 4 friends, former coworkers, etc so far this year (12 last year). It's beginning to take on the feeling that will be the way of the world from now until it's our turn. Bummer dude.

As for the weather in my little corner of The Great Midwest, it's 46º right now and not going up. Weather.com tells me it's going to start raining this morning which will turn to snow (Winter Storm Xyler) and dump 3-6" on us by tomorrow morning. Bleh! And here I thought we were done with this crap. Ma Nature is such a prankster.

I too have been dealing with the passing of several of my old pals. It sure isn't fun and it definitely makes me aware how short this life really is and how soon it's over.
On a lighter note, I've been sipping my coffee and putting a keen edge on an old Imperial teardrop jack I drug out of the pile. Man that old Imperial steel sure does sharpen up nice!

Good morning everyone,
Well rats! My post, didn’t!
treefarmer wrote: According to the USPS tracker there is an old PAL supposed to show up by 8pm tonight.
Post that PAL! I’m curious to see if it’s a PAL Blade, Brand or Cutlery. I have a fixed and a pen, both PAL Brand, which is the earliest incarnation of the brand. If I could, I’d totally collect PAL Brand examples but they are very hard to find around here and I don’t shop online. Think I’ll stick to my Richards!
Speaking of which, I’m off to the huge New Westminster Antique and Collectables swap ASAP. Oh, this is gonna be fun! ::ds:: it’s s nice day too. Yay!
