what do ya'll look like?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Scientists say that the next virus epidemic will be carried by mosquitoes.
My wife is a Beekeeper and is very prepared for the next epidemic.
When she goes shopping, she'll go alone.

Beekeeper! That's cool! ::tu:: :D Without bees we would probably go extinct really fast. But they (the bees) are dieing out and nobody cares over here. Ok, a few care, the rest are stupid.

Tell your wife Thanks for her Beekeeping from me! ::handshake:: :D

She is an apprentice beekeeper and spends a lot of time with her bees.
For the past several years, honey bee deaths have been occurring at unprecedented rates.
Large scale commercial beekeepers have suffered losses that are unsustainable long-term.
It’s become quite common for beekeepers to lose a third to a half of all of their colonies during a single winter.
And loss rates of up to 90% have been reported by some beekeepers.

When we walk to the lake we must take bread and peanuts to feed her ducks and squirrels, if we forget their food, we must return home and then return. :x
When I wake up in the morning, I never know what I'll find in our yard. ::shrug::

It's very alarming that so many bees are dieing. Something that I am worried about. ::doh::

I was a beekeeper for years until the trachea mite killed all of my hives.
And on top of that, the killer bees are in our state now.

Doc B, I in my own opinion, think that Deadwood is the best tv show ever. Just my opinion. 👍

Cheetah is easily "distracted," here he is when there is no leash restraining him from his natural hunting instinct. I hope he never looks at me like that. :(

Sorry to hear about all your Bee Hives Mike ::teary_eyes::. I've read of chemicals to defeat trachea mites, but they contains some scary ingredients? She only has two hives. She checks them often for "unauthorized" guests.

One of the advantages of a large family is that you have lots of kids and grandkids to see.
One of the disadvantages of a large family is you have lots of kids and grandkids to see and they live in other states!
Consequently we don't get to see them as often as we would like. I missed my grandson and his family last summer when they were here because I was in the hospital with hernia surgery. They live in California so we don't get down there very often but they did come up here last week to celebrate Brawly's birthday.

This is my great-grandson Brawly we had a birthday party for him Saturday at my daughter's house.
This is the first time I had held Brawly. I picked him up and he snuggled right down into my arms.
Melted this great granddad's heart!
