How does Classic Case do these in 40 seconds?

Just curious.

Read fast, and know the answer. ::shrug:: I don't do 40 secs every day. ::shrug::

Just about.

You're very good at this and I've always been known as "a wealth of useless knowledge".

I can't read fast and knowing the answer is iffy at best. I know a little about a lot of things but apparently not enough for this game.

I continue to play, but I avoid my two weakest subjects, Music and Sports. ::facepalm::

I consistently place in 6th or 7th place.

Cannot seem to improve on that. ::facepalm::

Most quizzes I ever won in a month was three. ::ds::

Cannot beat the quiz-whiz kids and we all know who they are. ::nod::

I quit because I'm so slow I consistently lost on time. The straw that broke the camel's back was a couple of times there were contestants who got fewer correct answers than I but got a higher score because they finished considerably faster.

Jerry,
Ditto that, plus the fact that everyone does not get the same test.

That didn't bother me. It's a hedge against cheating. It didn't even bother me to get beat regularly by speed demon, smarty pants like S-K and Glenn.  But when the other guy got more wrong than I did and got a higher score because he did it quicker....... Naah!

Hi Everyone. I would like to revive the AAPK Trivia Challenge. For those not aware of this AAPK bonus, the Trivia challenge originated way back in the early days of the forum and is a time honoured AAPK tradition. As we have many new members on board, I am hoping that we can attract more people to join in the fun. The Challenge is open to all registered members of AAPK. The categories include general knowledge, world trivia, sports, literature, music, movies, science and technology, history, geography, people, animals etc. Each day there are 10 multiple choice questions to answer but the clock is running. For every correct answer, you score 100 points, but for every second it takes to complete the quiz you lose 1 point. The player with the most points on each quiz is the daily winner and there is also an overall monthly winner. This link will take you to our AAPK Trivia Challenge page.

http://www.funtrivia.com/private/main.cfm?tid=69203

To play you will need to register a user name and password. Most people have used their usual AAPK name so we recognise our fellow contestants. There is no cost and you do not have to provide any personal details to play. You are asked to provide an email address but this is only used to inform you of new AAPK competitions and for communication should you forget your password, for example. I have not received any spam in 10 years of playing. When you first set-up your account you also need to provide a password to join. Please PM me for the password so that I can ensure that only AAPK members are registering. You can start anytime. The next monthly Challenge starts February 1st. For previous players, you should be able to login as before. I hope to hear from you and look forward to seeing you there. Any questions, please post here or let me know.

Steve, I used to play and it was fun. It was usually the first thing I did each morning. But I stopped playing because I seldom won and I seldom won because I'm sloooow. Too sloooow. There were enough times that I would have enough correct answers to win but would lose on points. Did I happen to mention I'm slooooow?

It's fun. I urge y'all to sign up and give it a whirl.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, but it became a bit of a burden. I know that sounds silly, but I would freak out that I had missed it, or would have to stop what I was doing to make sure I took it everyday. Jody and SK are more than worthy competitors, and always forced me to do my best every day. However, it's tough to make any moves when there are only 2 or 3 playing.

I enjoyed playing and played every day for quite a while BUT I'm slow and got tired of losing because of my time. I was going to give it another whirl here while back but couldn't remember my password.

Glad you stopped in SFC

I used to play everyday also. It got to be a little bit of a problem, as I HAD to make sure I played everyday. I had to let it go...but I do love mindless trivia!

I played every day for quite a while. Won a few, but mostly fell to the speed demons that seemed to know all the answers and could speed read the questions.

Finally stopped playing the Music, Movies and Sports quizzes, as I have never been that much into any of those.

General Knowledge, Geography, History etc, I can at least compete, but seldom wind up on top.

Keeps the brain active.
