Had some leftovers, just threw them in the Cast Iron, fried them up and winged it as i went, added some seasonings and worcesteshire sauce. Was really good,a great way to use up leftovers and stops wastage. Have enough leftover for a breakfast. ::sotb::

I commented over in the Diner that I was going on a road trip which was to include a stop at Mary's Cafe for the world's greatest chicken fried steak and the Bride and I did just that.
Here is a picture of that plate full of goodness. Right after the photo was made I covered it and fries with gravy and dug in. Truth is, only a part of the steak can be seen because the fries are covering part of it up.
Great meal and a great place.

My 14 year old daughter Lorelai baked us two cherry pies today. ::tu:: ::super_happy::

"Can she bake a cherry pie, Billy Boy, Billy Boy? Can she bake a cherry pie, Charming Billy?"

Anybody remember the song about Billy Boy? When I told my mom that her granddaughter baked some cherry pies she started singing it. There are a few different versions out there. This one is from the "Candy Mountain Girls".

That looks awesome, Tom!

I cooked a 6 lb. whole chicken in our turkey cooker this past weekend. Had this bird on 325° for 30 minutes, the skin was nice and crispy but the meat was mouthwatering juicy. I did a Slap Yo Mama dry rub since there's something in Old Bay that my brother is allergic to. But I did do some Old Bay wings, they cooked perfectly at the same temperature in 15 minutes. Apparently we were out of Zataran's or I would have tried that on some wings. Chicken "before" and "after" pictures. 😉

Cudgee, that looks mighty good! Good on the cold day's y'all are experiencing. ::tu::
However, please explain to me "beef mince" and "paste". Guessing beef mince to be ground beef, maybe. Paste is not in my understanding when it comes to cooking except for tomato paste and such.
Expand this old red neck's culinary understanding, please. ::handshake::
