Ray my cheapest gas ever bought was .11 a gallon. If I had a dollar then on date night it was .50 worth of gas and the rest on a Coke and go cruising.

Re: Gas Prices
Bought my first car in 1981, a '67 LeMans, about 11mpg.
Gas was $1.31, so that works out to 12 cents per mile.
Currently have a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport, about 26mpg.
Gas is $2.18, so that works out to 8 cents a mile.
In today's money, the LeMans would be 34 cents per mile.
Just sayin'.

When I started driving they could check your oil and wash your windows while the pump ran out a dollars worth of gas. Those we're the days!

I filled up my truck on Saturday at Kroger - I paid $1.47 a gallon. That's with a Kroger discount of .30.

Looks like Oklahoma and Wisconsin are enjoying the cheapest, while the west coast is the place to go if you're in a hurry to empty your wallet.
Zoom in and you can get down to specific stations in your area.

Re: Gas Prices
Just download the GasBuddy app onto your phone - it's free and available in the Apple or Android app stores. If you allow the app to see your location you can just tap on the "find gas near me" button. Other wise you can just enter any location (city or town and state). It will find all stations in your area ranked by price lowest to highest.
Works great.

Yesterday I filled the truck for $.79 at Kroger with a dollar off. Then I got off road diesel for the tractor for $2.44. Finally, I got ethanol free gas for the small equipment for $2.54.

Re: Gas Prices
Finally down under 2 bucks, and we can't go anywhere!!
My last fill-up was back on 3/17, still have 3/8 of a tank. That's about 180 miles until empty, based on the car's mileage calculator.
Gas saving is one of the few pluses of this virus. That, and air pollution is WAY down.

They went up here in Grant County Indiana 9 cents a gallon to $1.69 from an average of$1.59 and I just knew it wouldn't last long. Big business will get the money one way or another.

In California, it seems as if a 10 cent jump in price is a overnight increment.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 3:53 pmEver notice how it takes 10 weeks to drop 2 cents, but only 2 weeks to jump 10 cents?
$2.49 for regular at Costco today.

Re: Gas Prices
According to the gas buddy website our Ponder Valero has it for $1.19 this morning. I'm still on the same tank from almost a month ago, so I guess I'm getting somewhere around 20 days to the gallon.
