Re: "Diecast Collecting"
OK here is a good idea of the size of the Monoblock wheels.
The wheels are redline wheels.
I know not what I got them from but obviously not something I collect. Here is a Chevelle SS Wagon.
The glass may give you an idea how painted this was. Here is a Chevelle Panel with fancy wheels installed before I got it. And here is an Ertl Replica Chevy Fleetside
Here is another truck. The wheels are redline wheels.

Re: "Diecast Collecting"
I stopped off at the store where I found Hot Wheels for €1 a piece on my way home from work yesterday to see what I could find. Came up with 5 that I liked. A Chevy, two Toyota's, a Jeep & a Mini Cooper Countryman. My wife likes Mini Countryman.
Here are a few pictures. Thanks for looking friends!

Re: "Diecast Collecting"
Nice scores! I found the Hilux Revo some months back at my local Dollar General, but I haven't found MBX's Gladiator yet. They did a better job than HW.
However, I prefer the original Gladiator J-20 from the '60s.

Re: "Diecast Collecting"
I found yet another Gladiator, from Maisto, today at Dollar General. This casting, in the US at least, has mostly been showing up in 5,9, and 20 packs exclusive to Walmart. I don't go there, and buying blindly from assortments off the Walmart website is a waste of time, money, effort, and space.
It was interesting to me, as it's lettered as a fire department rig.
I had to pay a bit more (DG price $6.50, while Walmart is $4) and get stuck with a bunch more cars I don't want or need, but I was glad to have it.
The VW T3 Transporter in this pack was excellent as well. In fact, if it weren't for the T3, I would've left the overpriced 5-pack on the shelf.
Two of the other three I already had (more on those later), and the third was an ugly POS.

Yer good buddy.
We got lots of homies browsing "the bench". It was a good decision to throw up the thread, if I do say so myself.

JPD.. I was at Carlisle Auto Swap/Flea this past Friday.. There must have been 10-20 HW dealers there plus probably an additional gaggle of others that had HW in their spots.. HWs are really making a HUGE come back here in Pa..

Do any of you guys know of any 1:48 scale cars, trucks or other vehicles? Thanks in advance!

Re: "Diecast Collecting"
Most of the 1:48 models that I'm aware of are plastic armor and aircraft kits. I'll jog my memory and do some research; maybe I'll turn up some. I'm assuming you want them for a model railroad layout; if so, what gauge/scale are the trains?1967redrider wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 1:37 am Do any of you guys know of any 1:48 scale cars, trucks or other vehicles?

Thanks, Dan. Yes, O gauge which is 1:48. 1:50 wouldn't be an issue, not sure how car scales work? I do know Hot Wheels and Matchbox are too small.

For 1/48, you'll have to look @ Euro/Aussie diecast brands.

Re: "Diecast Collecting"
Some of the larger Matchbox models (King Size, Super Kings, Speed Kings) may be around 1:48. Models of Yesteryear could also fall into that range if antiques would be okay. I'll do a little digging and see what I come up with.

Re: "Diecast Collecting"
Regular size Hot Wheels & Matchbox are 1:64. That's all I know about car scales. I use "1:64" as my search word on eBay when I am looking at Hot Wheels ect. You could just try the scale your looking for as your search word John ( 1:48 ) & just see what turns up.
