A Hotwheels 5 pack of "Hot Trucks" followed me home.

1962 Custom Chevy
My Dad had a 63 Short Bed Step Side in this body style.
I had a 64 with a 250 six and three on the tree.

Very nice Dave, ::tu::
5 packs up here, are cheaper for me to buy then the mainlines, so I think I'm going to be buying many from now forward.
Oh, "Off Track" is a Baja racer, just like what Bryce Menzies and the such drive.

I should NEVER go to Wal-Mart.
One double but this one is purple.
I am going to get where I can drill out and tap the rivets.

The flames on many Hotwheels drive me crazy!

Some great stuff being posted here. Dave:are you duplicating the flames?I've done a couple of 1/64th scale cars and they are NOT easy to do.
Here is some more stuff from the vault:
An N scale set of cars
HO scale vehicles that are actually wristwatches. The readout is in the windshield.Unfortunately the batteries are dead and I haven't figured out how to replace them.
An N scale NASCAR 50th Anniversary set
A group of Wiking HO scale cars. These were sets sold at Mercedes-Benz dealers.I was the parts manager at one of them and bought several of these.
One of the strangest little Mercurys I've ever seen.
A bunch of model aircraft I had as a kid.
Several more display cabinets.

Just to be clear. I am going to paint this 57 Fury to get rid of the flames.
If this works out some other cars will get a solid color as well.

Are you using a spray can, brush or airbrush? I've found that metallic colors don't work well on smaller cars as the size of the flakes in the paint is too large.Even 1/25th scale vehicles look a little disproportionate with metallic colors unless the flakes are really fine. For a good metallic base(gold or silver)you might try getting some bronze powder.I used to get it for making base coats for transparent paints and mixing with clear for striping. I think you can still buy it at Michael's or other art supply stores.
You usually have to apply it with an airbrush or small door jamb spray gun rather than brushing as it goes out of suspension pretty readily and streaks if you use a brush.Mixing it can be a trial and error thing but usually it works out to be about 5 parts clear to 1 part pigment.
I used to do a lot of making my own colors when I was actively spray painting motorcycles and the like.

Gotta grab a wire brush for a Dremel when we are out later.
Need to find the vise we supposedly brought when we moved because those skinny posts are going to be fun to drill and tap.
