Had the virus and am still feeling the effects. Have had the first vaccination, then monoclonal antibody infusion after a positive test result, and the remdesdivir treatment in the hospital, days worth. Scheduled for the second shot in July and I'll get it. My experience wasn't near as bad as many others.

I think I was sick before I got the the first shot. My wife thinks I picked it up at a gun show I went to in mid March. Could have been.

This isn't a infection you want to catch no matter the severity.

Good news out the above is I decided to retire earlier than planned. A man of leisure now.

On March 2, 2021 Texas Governor Abbott ended most of the Covid mandates on the state. As of May 6th 11,359,643 or 39% of Texans have received at least one dose. Overall 26% of all Texans have been fully vaccinated. Ref: usafacts.org

Where I live we are going about our lives almost as normal. Full church services and activities. All the businesses are open and hiring. Wearing a mask is up to the individual in most places except doctors offices and the hospitals. Even many companies are lifting the mask requirements on their employees. I think Texas is on the way to recovery.

I'm still watching this worldwide laboratory and no I still have not received the vaccination. Each one of us will have to make our own decisions for our own reasons.
