Re: Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?
Thanks gents, I have plenty to post (the captions are the name of the picture, they will show up if you hover over the picture). I enjoy looking at your modern train pictures (I take very few anymore, too much riff-raff hanging around railyards and rail sidings). OH

Aberdeen and Rockfish, The Road of Personal Service. That's a new one on me, will have to look it up. More cool photos, OH.
That Southern posted above, I remember those units from my childhood. I loved the sounds they made throttling up.

A&R is a very old, family owned short line running from Aberdeen NC, along the southern border of Fort Bragg, through Rockfish and into Fayetteville NC.

Another great photo!!! I like that center cab. You have some great stuff there, a little bit of history awesomely presented. That is a great setting for a train photo, and the gulls with the gull crap dripping from the trestle is the perfect complement.

Re: Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?
Thank you gents. That is the Gallants Channel lift bridge between Radio Island and Beaufort NC, the engine house is on the island and the offices were in Beaufort. Also the commercial fishing fleet anchors here, they fish the Atlantic through Beaufort Inlet - nice combination of features to make for a good photo. Here is another view I shot that day. By the way the #75, #85, #95 engines were Whitcomb 75 Ton engines. OH
