Beaver Creek SP in Ohio.. Dont let anyone tell you Ohio is flat.. Cause it aint!! This hike was just great with the woods coming alive and the walk along the creek was KOOL..

Superb photos. I have to wonder how the stump came to be decorated in that manner.

Todays walk took us around a large pond and then between some fields along side of the woods. That's my car across the pond. We found a birds egg and a sprouting acorn laying on the ground that we took home. The egg is in my flowers now & the acorn was planted by my daughter in a small flower pot. ::tu:: :D

A few more pictures. ::tu:: The pond is only about knee deep or maybe as much as waist deep if you sink into the muddy bottom far enough. :lol:

Funny thing is, we saw 7-8 long fish swimming in single file one behind the other. They were long & slender & looked like Pike to me. :shock: I could hardly believe my eyes. :shock: All were about 2 1/2 - 3 feet long. I'm not sure what they were but I was very surprised to see them in there. ::shrug::

Nice, Tom, and cool pictures. ::tu:: I have a topo map of the Virginia area, around the mid section of Skyline Drive, that I used when I was hunting and hiking there. Handy to have so you know what kind of terrain you're getting into prior to walking. ::nod::
